For tv I hate with a passion Sterlo and Gould.

Sterlo because he appears thoroughly jealous of todays athlete in the way he talks down players. Its also his condescending nature. Remember the old days when he used to stop the play and draw white circles and arrows all over the screen? I used to sit there saying to myself 'yeah no sh!t Sterlo….we're not stupid!'.

Gould is just an 'I am' man. 'I' said this would happen...'I' had a word to him about his passing game....its like 'I' said. Nearly all of his 'analysis' comes after play has broken down. Very rarely does he put his balls on the line prior to any sort of action....parden me he did last year when he triumphantly announced after origin 2 that 'I told you all that NSW will win this series and win it well'. Made himself look like an absolute clown when they were flogged in the decider lol....

Sterlo should never be allowed anywhere near the com-box when Parra are playing. His bias with Parra is revolting.

I havent really noticed his bias towards parra. If anything I reckon he tries to hard not to show any bias and can be sometimes over critical of them. Well thats the way I have seen it.

Same here, i've never seen him be one bit bias or even try to be unbias towards Parra. To me, he's always called Parra just like any other team

I know he's not a League commentator but i just want to include him anyway. Ian Healy. An absolute nightmare to listen to. Completely bias with a terrible personality and not one ounce of charisma

Yes! Definitely! He wasn't too bad when he began because he was more analytical. But for the last few years he has been doing live ball by ball stuff and really it just doesnt suit him, he's not a Bill Lawry or Tony Greig in that regard.

It'd be like having Laurie Daley doing Warren Smith's job.

His bias is very annoying but that could be because ch 9 doesnt get broadcast overseas like it used to, these matches are being shown and commentated by Indians on the subcontinental networks. Just like last year, the Ashes were shown in England on Sky Sports.

Thats true, he does seem to take the lead when he's in the commentary box which is annoying. Hate him with a passion.
Theres only one Bill Lawry

Fitler , don't know how he got a job on nine, He knows what he's talking about but doesn't have a clear enough voice also he says some really dry jokes ..

Vautin is to Spartan as Sheens is to Balmain Bug,

Spartan I think that Bug secretly loves Sheens as probably has posters everywhere on his walls dating back to his Penrith playing days right through to now

I know I have Fatty's signature from his times playing with Brisbane Wests and i may have a poster if I look hard enough

You can have them for free if you like :sunglasses:

Greg Alexander is painful to listen to, he sounds like a pre-puberty teenage boy with a bad head cold. His bias towards Penrith is unhealthy and I gat the impression that he doesn't like the Tigers, he seems to bag us all the time and takes great enjoyment when we lose. Andy Raymond is an embarrassment, he should stick to boxing where he can use all of his "Army of One" and "Prince of Pain" analagies to describe people.
Outside of the NRL, the commentator on Foxtel's kickboxing coverage would hands-down be the worst…anyone who refers to HIMSELF as "The Voice" is surely a candidate for tosser of the century.

Didn't realize that John Farnham was a commentator

I can never find the words to describe just how much Andy Raymond irritates the crap out of me. He is a walking, talking cliche. He's the only person i've ever heard call the opposition 20 the 'go-zone'. I once heard him refer to Greg Inglis as the 'reflection of perfection'. He is so cheesy it makes me cringe

Gordon Tallis is a shocker. Can barely string his sentences together and can't go one sentence without dropping 4 or 5 'mates' in

Brad Fittler & Gordon Tallis.

Fittler - I cant believe channel 9 and abc radio find it acceptable to employ this idiot. He has to be the dumbest meathead ever to speak into a mic, he doesnt make sense have the time and laughs loudly at his own jokes which are horrible to begin with. I feel stupider every time I hear his voice… Great player but painful commentator.

Tallis - I like the entire fox panel except for Tallis, painful to listen to, points out the most obvious things (like Daley does but worse) and most of the time wont even finish his sentence before branching off to some other random and stupid topic. Also stutters annoyingly.

Or a few "You knows" in there.

Its pretty simple. Not matter how good of a football player you were, if you can't talk you have no place on TV. Guys like Tallis, Joey and Matt Johns, Fittler, Blocker, Freeman. I'm sure i've left a couple out as i believe as a whole Rugby League would have the worst commentators in australian sport. Its probably because we only take into account how they went on the field and nothing else. As a Wrestling fan i liken it to a Wrestlers ability to talk on the mic. It doesn't matter how good they are in the ring, if they aren't good on the mic the in-ring stuff means pretty little. I know im comparing 2 different things but its still all about communication, and if someone doesn't have any ability in that area then they shouldn't be anywhere near a mic regardless of how good they were as a player
