Leichhardt Oval the GRAVEYARD

Crowds at Leichhardt this year have been excellent.

Performances have been poor.

Disappointing for the fans.

Only troll WT fan can blame crowd for an awful performancey :sign: give yourself an uppercut and delete your account on this forum :bash

Start looking at the big picture ,it is just not about today the system is not working change needs to happen..when something is broken you fix it.

Hello- it is being fixed (where have you been) - it cannot be done overnight unless you are the "Rorters".

Yeah Im sure they are secretly tweeting eachother about how crap Leichhardt is and how no one likes playing in front of 20k patriotic fans screaming their names as close to you as you can get.

And what a laugh it is pretending that they do like it…..

Capacity is only 16 these days.

You would swear some peeps get joy from us losing at Leichhardt and cant wait to get on here and post their joy for all to see.

Very poor form but not unexpected.

Us losing? Not surprising at all.
Is your big disappontmeni of the day LO getiing negative posts?

Well it is mine Gall - especially when it is undeserved - we had 19,000 people there last night, it was a great atmosphere and there was not a lot more the fans could do. You can blame lots of things for the loss (most unwarranted) but not the Grand Old Lady.

Has it crossed anyone's mind that it is just as enjoyable for opposition teams to play at Leichhardt as it is for the home side

Great atmosphere and it is not like you are facing a daunting side

New coach ..
New players …problem fixed !
Blaming a venue is pathetic !

Sorry pal there has been new coaches new players and nothing changes year after year…the pathetic thing is many do not see the real issue give the players and team there own ground not grounds that are full of past ghosts and glories, let the present day create there own ..something has to change .

Maybe getting rid of delusional fans would be a start.

I've never blamed LO for a loss, that's ridiculous. The same way it's ridiculous that people credit LO for a win. I think this thread is just pointing out that it's no fortress or graveyard that some claim.
Go back to the game thread from the Tamworth game and see how many were claiming that we'd win that game if it was at LO.

Bring it on…packed houses ....must win games ....perfect weather yes Leichhardt oval is a graveyard for the WestsTigers...This is the undisputed truth!

Yes it is sad we have become a team without any home ground advantage.

I would have though 18k fans baying for blood would be an advantage. Shame they weren’t able to inspire them.

Far out what more do players need these days?

18k was it?
Great effort by the supporters… Too bad the players didn't reciprocate

How did they fit in 18,387 people then??????

2,000 qlders turned up?

Ur dead set retarded if you don't think a HUGE home ground crowd doesn't make a difference, especially when they are sweating on every offside play or forward pass.

The crowd did their part yesterday….if the boys didn't have Burgii hands all day we could have made the difference,
\
\
Anyway.....I enjoyed the day even though we got belted.

Great day , crap result.

Wouldnt swap Leichhardt for the world.

Eeeeaaaagh Tiger!!!!!

What an atmosphere. Put a bomb under ANZ.

And there you go .. stuff the thousands of members and fans that would of liked to attend but were shut out as it was sold out . Good way of doing business have over 20k members and have 2 grounds that struggle to hold 18 k. No matter what emotional spin you put on this it is Fake News , the club is dead unless it moves quickly and grasps its future.

But the huge crowd didn't make a difference. It didn't in 2016 either.

Yep 18k - couldnt even boo the ref. One to forget.

Awesome crowd there last night, great atmosphere. I took two friends who had their first Leichhardt experience and they loved it.

Graveyard or not it'll always be my favourite ground. Memories running up from blackmore oval after a game for Leichhardt Wanderers to watch siros last game.

You can't blame the fans for not making the difference Gallagher , if we played anywhere near our best yesterday in the 1st half it would have been game , set and match

I don't think Gallagher is blaming the crowd per se, just that playing at the ground itself is no real advantage to us as the home side and it rarely ever has been! And certainly not in the way it's always depicted to be in the media or by the players and the club itself. It's the same with Campbelltown.

Honestly, I think this team plays better away from home than they do at either of their so called 'spiritual' homes. There is zero home ground advantage for the Wests Tigers.
