Let's be honest

I get confused why we push for so many changes after one loss
Its the usual weak links that need to be taken care of but everytime we lose we seem to want to replace 8 odd players

As Willow said, we had an off day

Galloway is a big soft marshmallow he needs to get a bee In his bonet and start running with venom and hitting to hurt, he's a cat for the size of him and if we can keep our new hitmen, galloway can move on, imo he's another who hasn't lived up to his potential.

Galloway has certainly lived up to his potential. He just didn't go on with it. He's been a very solid NRL player for a number of years and had a taste of SOO and played for his country. If that's failure then 10,000 other budding RL players are in for a horrible shock.

He does seem to be getting past it. But he's still more than serviceable.

Lets be honest we played the same today for the first half last week and was lucky to go h/t at 8/6, against a team that had 40+ put on em yesterday

Let's be honest… Okay...

- We're 5-3, a hell of a lot better than what most of us predicted after 8 rounds;
- We're top 4;
- We've knocked off a few decent teams in the process, alot of teams playing good footy;
- We certainly saved our worst for today. The refs could have been in our pocket and we still would have been pantsed. The best teams have bad games as well.

I'm not slitting my wrists over this loss. The team we played today weren't the same team we played in round two. They matched us up front and we missed having the likes of Gavet, Farah, Sue and Tedesco.

We should have been beaten by more, which probably says a lot for our depth. I see this as an aberration and that when our first choice stock returns (bear in mind we are still missing Sirro as well,) we will rocket back to form.

I felt that for all his experience and leadership, Anasta offered little today. Luani gets through a lot of work and is defensively reliable, but Austin get things going in attack and shows a bit of potential from dummy half. Hopefully Austin will start seeing 80 minutes, whether it be at hooker or pivot. Anasta surely cannot maintain his spot unless he starts providing more.

Looking forward to the next game. The boys will bounce back.

Totally agree Ink

But I just can't see (depending on injuries of course ) what changes we can make that will make a serious difference in our line up

Unfortunately if Farah and Tedesco aren't fit , we might be better off keeping the same side and cop whats coming v the Roosters

We start stuffing continually with combinations and it will probably cause more issues than it helps

I'm trying to not write the Tigers off v the Roosters , but making changes might just be like switching chairs on the Titanic without Farah and Tedesco

I have low expectations this year - we will be very lucky to make the finals - so days like today are expected.

As long as our young players continue to develop I will be happy.

Without Farah we lack strike power. Nofo and Simo must be able to score, otherwise our attack will be lacking.
All of a sudden we have lost our speed and was not able to match them in the forwards, what happened. Even Woods is not able to penetrate,still lots of work for Potter to do. Against a side like the rooster, we may get another belting.

I've always liked Mick Potter's honesty in press conferences. Even last year, and he doesn't make excuses like Teflon Tim used to make excuses. The Press conferences ( and him coaching unpaid in SL) is why i like him. I was disappointed with the match as well, but Mick put in perspective.
We are a work in progress, and we need to 100% on, even if we are a bit off we aren't like the Manly, Roosters etc just yet that can get a win while not playing 100%. Let's face it, we had a similar injury toll last year, but Mick has put his stamp on this team.

One thing I did notice was that crowd were unusually quiet for a Leichhardt , seems they mirrored the team, we were a bit off. We are workman like team, and we need to be 100% on our games.

Look at this way, if at the start of the year someone would have told you that after 8 rounds we would be 5/3, all of us would have taken that, right?
top 8 2014, top 4 2015 , premiers 2016, we are still on track.

BTW, i wasn't surprised Simona's try was called back, add that to Fulton's almost try, and Brooks' knock on after 2 kicks, again playing bad like last week, we hung in there.

I always thought Galloway was over rated. Up until now, I've been happy to support Anasta, but it's over now. I think it's time he stepped aside - Just retire mate. Rowe and Luani should go as well. Simply not good enough unfortunately. Lawrence running into touch? My god…... :crazy There was definately a lack of spark there today. An off day - yeah, but you just can't have off days. It looked to me at times there was a lack of effort, but things didn't go our way too much either. Fults was ordinary - but he has them form time to time. On a positive note, Brooks was awesome and never stopped trying.

Of the five you have listed. Rowe and Luani and just filling in, yes they are under performing but there isn't much else out there.

Fulton had one of his worst games in a while but it was strange him coming off the bench. He either has to play the 80 or not at all. Only one of him and p Thompson really fit in the team.

Galloway he goes alright. He major impact but not horrible. I prefer the impact of Taupau and Gavet coming off the beach and can't see who else would start ahead of Galloway.

Anasta - well even he must realise that his days are numbered.

Young sirro will come straight back into the side - for who will depend on who is injured at the time.

What's wrong with Sirro coming back at 6.. He and Brooks were a lethal combination in NYC…solves our problem where to play Sirro keeping the likes of Sue and Gavet in the team

Not that I disagree, but that team that put 40+ put on them, we covered them fairly comfortably ourselves.

As Potts said, it's a week-to-week proposition at the moment. I'd be more happy with 5-3 in the next 8 games.

Austin has to be in the 17 somewhere, and is a better solution long-term in the 6 jumper than Sironen. The bloke is still only 23, and looks the goods in the creative department. I think Austin is vastly underrated and is our solution at 6 for a few years until Moses is ready. Sironen isn't.

Against Roosters Moses must come in as fullback.

:crazy

He will be destroyed.

So has Rowe :/
_Posted using RoarFEED V.4_

Could not be any worse than Rowe. Moses has been training at fullback with the NRL side and Potter maybe forced to play him next game. Moses has something Rowe will never have and that's courage. Only other choice is Abou-Sleiman either way we can't just go out there with only 12 players on the field again next game.

The brunt of criticism for Rowe and Galloway is baffling. One is a fly-weight kid on the way up and the other is a supposed rock of the side. On his own, Galloway is NOT the answer to this becoming a consistent side. He needs the likes of Fulton and Woods (and the bench) to play at their peak and his efforts, by comparison, reach a pass mark. If they don't, as was the case yesterday, Keithy was exposed for what he is; ponderous, limited and mostly ineffective. I just don't understand the kudos this guy gets, apart from the obvious reaction to Gould's love affair with him.

First of all Fulton is a good player, secondly tedesco was the best player of the first few rounds in the comp with Robbie Farah not to far behind it was suprisingly we won against the eels until one of them is back its Gonna be hard to win games. Its worring the next few games will be though roosters r getting form and the sharks who knows what ur gonna get. And we really want to head into the rest of the season with a good record

I am not too fazed by that game but there are some dead set bustards amongst our gems:

- Rowe - no where near FG
- Anasta - he is worse than campese, a total waste of space. It was actually fair for 10 mins when Myles went off
- (harsher) Galloway - he is our worst most non impactful forward. So slow!
- (harshest) - Fulton - plays his guts out but just no impact … At all
- Luani is fine but no first grader

Raps on Lawry for his best game since I can remember. And Bodene has surprised me, took no s*** from any tits today. I really like Austen, but he and brooks are still rocks and diamonds. They will come good. I thought our forwards minus Galloway were generally really good. Scrappy game. Injuries killing our great start!

Hahahaha how do you expect anyone to tackle when you take Fulton out of the team? If he's gone, we lose by an extra 20 points a game. Yeah our forwards are more aggressive this year with ball in hand, but jeez I gotta laugh at how many times Albert Kelly ran through them at will. Fulton does the ugly stuff well
