Lets get a seat on Balmain board

Since we are trying to figure out a solution to the Balmain dilemma, why don't they merge with Ryde Eastwood?

The Football Club and Leagues Club are separate entities, so if the Leagues Club falls over it will not impact on the WT as Ryde Eastwood could tip in the Balmain share of the funds.

Is there any reason why this would not be a viable option?

Could we expand into that area? Although not having a ground there would limit potential fans.

Ryde already falls under the Balmain catchment area, so not expanding into a different area at all. Just giving Ryde Eastwood a backdoor path to NRL part ownership in return for financial backing of the JV.

Since they already formed a JV at nsw cup level previously, and the hawks are cashed up, it just seems like a natural partnership where all parties win.

I think RE are travelling fine.
If it aint broke…why fix it.

They could go from a Ron Massey cup side to an NRL license part owner.

That's a pretty big incentive if u ask me!
