Liddle firming for round 1 selection

Who do people rate as the better defender? Liddle or Cherrington.

From what I have seen of both is the Mania is more the opportunist who plays what's in front of him but Jacob seems to play more to a structure. Both a very good dummy half runners though.

See there is an art to missing tackles , there are good misses and bad misses

Former WT's player Masada Iosefa was a good example

He'd make a lot of tackles , but his misses were clean misses and puts you under huge pressure

I reckon that's Cherrington's issue , I reckon he will have a lot of clean misses

Can't comment on Liddle , haven't seen enough of him , and that could be an advantage

Because if we haven't seen much of him , the Warriors coaching staff will be in the same boat and won't know much about him

Lets wait and see

Hold the phone Batfriends,,Despite the fact Liddle played 25 NYC games last year as well as U20's Origin …Happy hasn't seen much of him so it goes to follow Warriors coaching staff have no clue...

Liddle is the real deal, people talk about Mania but Liddle is who is being groomed to replace Robbie. With 2 hookers a must apperantly they will compliment each other brilliantly. My only concern is Liddle being ready for 1st. He has the talent and no doubt better off in the early rounds to debut I just hope the kid gets some great support from the forwards around him.

Update, had his contract terminated effective immediately.

Geo , you need to understand what something looks like on TV and what something looks like as it unfolds in front of you are two completely different beasts

You can only guess how quick they are , their changes of pace , how big their step is , if they can step off both feet , do they prefer to tackle on their left or right side , what is their strength defensively , right or left side , how strong they are , which is their preferred arm to fend with , where they prefer to hit you with the fend , can you mess with their mind , how they will react when you sledge them , are they a confidence player, how they will react if you pressure them , what pre-empts them dummying

Got my point , that's why kids get second year syndrome , they get their weaknesses tested and their strengths shut down and then they have to become better skilled all round footballers to combat that

Some make it easy , some don't

Totally forgot to mention that , the Mrs said "which ex WT's player got sacked from the Capras " :roll

And what makes it worse Iosefa was their big signing , Capras make the WT's look like the Roosters

Yes you would wonder why Coaches spend hours watching video have teams of video analysis's and Dessie gives every player an ipad…what a waste...

And trust me Geo , it takes most players 2 games to work out opposition players fully

If your a talented young footballer coming through you usually keep a trick up your sleeve until you need it …......

Most are too busy KISS , keep it simple stupid .... , too scared they will try a low percentage play that will see them in NSW Cup next week
