Liddle

@Swordy If he has not already signed I tend to agree, With the talk of Farah going around another year he might as well move on . Last night watching Farah unable to compete for 20 mins was a bad look for the coach ...many times Mbye and Marshall had to get to dummy half as Farah was nowhere. This situation reeks of Addo Carr and someone else is going to get the Benefit of this talented player.

I don't mind him sharing the role with Farah for the rest of the year but i just wish the coach would hook Farah at the first sign of him slowing down. To me he is leaving him out there way too long and you can noticeably see our attack grinding to a slow halt. Liddle comes on and suddenly we are hitting the line quicker and Brooks and Marshall have more time.

Re-sign Liddle please Madge! We've been patient with him so far and now is not the time to lose it!
I'm okay with him sharing the role with Farah the rest of the year, but it should be Liddle's position 2020 onward.

@The_Patriot I thought you were joking then I saw your later post. Mate, this is a thread about Liddle and I'm talking about Liddle. You can look for innuendo somewhere else.

I'll say what I meant, again: Jacob looks more confident and as a result, is doing things just a hair quicker then he (Jacob Liddle) did in his (Jacob Liddle's) past seasons. As a result he (Jacob Liddle) looks he belongs (in the NRL).

You could find innuendo in every post here if you wanted. Why limit it to Farah? What are you looking for?

You can just bet that we will lose this kid with the way we currently are recruiting....i hope we re-sign him

Liddle was coming on against tiring opposition, which really suits his speed. Liddle is a real "fresh legs" player.

Problem for Liddle is every time we start him at #9 he gets injured or dented. He rarely defends for big minutes. He also hasn't displayed a kicking game.

I've never been against keeping Liddle on and we've invested a lot of time in him now, but he needs to bring his speed and accuracy into something more like 80 minutes, like a Damien Cook. Otherwise he will forever be the bloke you only bring on in spurts because he can't withstand long early-game minutes week in and out.

Iam not convinced he is in Madge’s long term plans. We signed the boom kid from QLD. Anyway I think he should be signed ASAP and given plenty of game time, but I got a sneaky suspicion he may be on the move, either by choice or being pushed.

His linking with his support player was all class.... The way he threaded the pass between two defenders while. Slowing and changing direction was special

Skilled player great reading of defenders and reacting accordingly. I hope Madge eases his minutes up in the next 5 games and he finishes the season as our staring hooker.

Cant help thinking Liddle is not in the plans or has already indicated he is signing elsewhere.

Is not getting a fair go, and never seems to be mentioned in future plans.

I really hope that isn’t the case. Would be yet another travesty.. I don’t think I could take it.

Might not be the club's decision if Liddle leaves. Wasnt there talk (last season?) that Bulldogs were sniffing around? Anyway, however it plays out, due to past frailty and injury concerns WT should wait until end of SOO to make formal offer. I presume informally he knows where he stands with coach and his future. Either way, I see WT needing another first line hooker to back up. This kid signed from QLD is only a development player for next season anyway.

I can see it coming. Watching Melbourne today and they had 3 of our rejects in their side. He will be another we bring through, carry him through injuries and then watch him become a star somewhere else.

@TigerTiger seve never really piqued my interest but he’s been solid, the other 2... well..

@Jessica I think Seve also left Tigers as he had cancer, didn't he? Then he came back a few years later after fighting it, and came through the ranks with Storm. Or have I got mixed up?

Look my opinion ...but can't believe that Farah was left off in golden point

He'd be the bloke I'd have backed to knock over the winning field goal

Love to see Farah play the 1st 30 and let Liddle play the last 50

No I'm pretty sure he had cancer before he came to Tigers, when he was finishing high school. He left Tigers because he was the next Keebra wunderkind (Peter Sterling Medal 2013), but couldn't get his form right in ISP. They ended up dropping him to Ron Massey and then he left - I think that was during Jason Taylor's time. He had some other family stuff going on too, like his Dad had cancer.

Just one of those kids who lost their way, and the off-field stuff not seen by Joe Public.

He's your typical Melbourne backup centre now, decent defender with fairly average attack, but can run onto a footy from talented inside players. Just like Mo Blair, Cheyse Blair (did Storm sign other Blairs?), Ryan Morgan, Hymel Hunt, Junior Sa'u, Richie Kennar, Dane Nielsen, Justin O'Neill etc.
