Our first stringers don’t attack like he does.
He’ll get a chance at some stage during the year…look forward to seeing it.

I like Andrews too, very creative, in fact there's a lot of good depth in the club now it's so good to see and a sign of likely good times ahead.

I think a key points to come out of the 2 trial games .

1.the players are playing for each other and Benji
2. The players seem to have a belief that we have not had for years..

I am genuinely interested in this bloke.
He is a real threat in the red zone and we haven’t had a half like that since coach was running round

I agree that Javon Andrews is a very classy young player and with his size can skill he has a very high ceiling.
But just think how good Latu Fainu would look with the time and space Jock Madden creates for his 5/8.
We currently have 5 good halves which is very unlike Wests Tigers.

And we had more good ball possession and just couldn’t find the right options often enough.

Key to this side will be learning to create and score the simple/basic tries, I think we’ll get our fair share of the special ones. Kicking game and options on the edges are things we need to refine.

my take on the game ,
Bula to me seemed way of the pace
Are attack hasn’t changed much from last year
The defence and getting of the line looks a lot better
When the kids came on in the second half there attack was why better than the 1st grade side

Cause our 2nd string team was playing another 2nd string team,
Thats why our attack was better,
Because their defence was worse.
DAH.

Anyway, …we copped two nemesis clubs for our trials and dusted them both up scoring 29 of a possible 30 comp points and most importantly, everyone is healthy coming out of them.
I’m generally too experienced to go the early crow..however I did tip us to make the 8 and this has been a great warmup.
Bring on the season - in 3 and a bit weeks 😖

Plenty of positives, fullback and right centre are our big question marks.

Ball players we have a very good mix of , all young and maybe to much in the cap . Rest of the figures can be juggled to school them, im happy

I’m not worried about fullback.
Right centre though…AD may end up back out there.
