Some of the bigger bodied players should be called out before Laurie in terms of not putting their bodies on the line. We have some big bodies that could use that physicality more aggressively in attack and defence before having a crack at the bloke who plays in the most exposed position on the field.

I totally agree Tigress,however I have got sick of hearing that same quote for years,you know we are in a rebuild,the team is learning the structures etc...Im backing that they will improve in the next 3/4 weeks and I will be extremely happy when they do...

I watch the game now and (although I didn't play nrl), am actually surprised I wasn't!

My reaction was that I was disappointed but not surprised . The display was mostly
"Frantic " .Everything looked rushed and un cohesive . I know Benji and co like an up tempo game but what they got was a lot of one out half breaks and a lot of errors .Watching Twal and Joe pointlessly burning a few 4th and 5th Tackles looked very familiar . Brooks style changed from pass and kick on the 5th to take the line on everything he touched the ball .
Unfortunately not with a lot of success .Ipaps stuck way on left edge looked muddled
Its no point singling out anyone in particular as everyone seemed to have an error or two
However letting the Titans bomb bounce with no one jumping for the ball leading to their first try in the second half was the most cringeworthy moment and leaving Tommy T on the field when he couldn't even walk defies explanation Tim !

Can someone explain why Api (our captain) didn't start the game? Was he snapping one off and missed the whistle? What a dumb assed thing to do. 1st game of the year, your captain leads the team onto the field.

I was more worried about how he played, he just dished up passes to the 1st runner who was smashed , he didn’t look like he was interested, it was weird

Most fullbacks over the weekend averaged 10m or less per run does that mean they’re all pretty bad ?

I now see no point in having Staines and Laurie in the same team. Both are featherweights and not even that fast.

His post contact metres might be bad but usually he's actually taking some dirty hit ups.

I said this before the game that any smart kicker would be kicking to Noffa's corner. Once you tackle him, you're left with Staines/ Laurie doing a hit-up. Noffa is a strong carrier but doesn't have a quick PTB. Laurie/Staines will get killed every time.
