Watching the reply, the Wests Tigers were very good until the 30th minute and the disallowed Nofo try with LL standing in the line rather than running through and getting out of the way. Manly score in the next set making it effectively a 12 point turn around. It just all goes to poo after that. I thought that was a very weak challenge and the wrong time to think, oh we can get a breather at least. Shows absolute mental fragility.

The next bit is the important point that I think the blunder bunker got wrong. Before the ball hits the ground Nofo bats the ball backwards past where the first touch was made. So the direction of the ball when it hits the ground is backwards off Nofo. It then goes into the legs of a Manly player, the ball then travels forward back into Nofo's hands. The bunker said he never regained possession of the ball, but he clearly did because he battered it backwards before it hit the ground, That's controlling the direction of the ball. It wasn't a fumble it was a deliberate tap back by Nofo. !!!!!!

I thought they probably could of won it also. But to me rolling the dice like that rather than backing your defence from half way, looking for little short cuts like that. That bothers me. Especially when we haven’t had many successful captains challenges this year.

I remember that. It infuriated me at the time....add it to the list of 50/50s that never go our way

To make it worse I’m pretty sure Moanly had a similar challenge later in the game and it got over turned ...
