Well that was disappointing. Took my son out for his first game since and was 2. He asked me “how come we can’t go for a different team?” Even 5 year olds know this team isn’t worth the effort to support.

How they can muscle up so well for half an hour and then turn into a sieve is beyond me. It’s like they just gave up. Our attack has to be the worst in the league, we have no spark and just do the same rubbish time after time. Surely someone has to have a football brain on the coaching staff and can see this isn’t working.

Only enough week until we have to watch it all again.

Yeh just got home from the game with my 7 year old grandson. Absolutely beautiful day huge disappointment in the result. We desperately need 5 quality players, a lock 2 centres and 2 wingers . The 4 backs need to have size , heart , speed and can Tackle. Not much to ask surely!

Guys,
Rather than get frustrated lets think of it this way.
After the Cowboys game i was so pissed off, then i thought its the same each year for us, lose the games that count, go on a trot back end of season and give some expectation we might play finals???? Does this sound familiar???

I now think this team wont play finals, if we win a few games great but we are most likely to lose more than win.
Still a WIP club is Madge the coach to take us forward doubt it but might be valuable long term clean out.

Sure Madge can get rid of the players who will be of contract but that is no where enough to improve the team. To make it worse how can we attract new players after exhibitions like today. I think the most decent thing for Madge to do is to sack himself now. There is an ex- Cronulla coach amongst those ready to take over.

Personally right now would take Morris over Madge at least he knows the players and seems like a decent bloke who was shafted, alas we are stuck with Madge for the next 3 seasons. I doubt his game tactics however and don't rate him anymore.

Yeah I was there. Threw a number of hospital passes. Was slow in general play and this was in a team that had good go forward. He would be a disaster with the NRL team around him. Agree that Brooks needs to move on but Madden is not the answer.

The coach has to go. Whatever he is doing is not working at all in things have deteriorated despite some ok recruiting in Offa,Laurie and Stefano etc. I actually don’t blame the players as they look like they are just not enjoying their football under Madge

Your 100% right mate....I reported on here last year that I was told by Josh that the players don't want to play for him, I was hammered for divulging that....well look where we are now boys heading for our 1st spoon.....wheres all those Maguire lovers now

Personally I will always back a real man with principles like Maguire ahead of a lying cat like aloiai. Josh couldn’t lie straight in bed.

I’d actually prefer Madden in there even if he’s not as good as the mighty Luke Brooks. I’m so over Luke it’s not funny anymore. The need for some actual halves that can control a game is urgently needed. Heck even get Walters at 6 please.

This is the shame of it - we were killing them for 30 minutes and then rolled over. I imagine it corresponds with the interchange but it's hard to accept the bench is that bad.

I don’t think it’s the interchange. Up until then our defence was VERY compressed. I was actually worried they would start going around us.

But for some reason we stopped pushing into each other and left MASSIVE gaps in the middle and none of our guys could find a shoulder.

Yep. Madden was not great. He threw 2 good passes but that was more due to the opposition being very compressed.

Madden would get eaten alive in firsts. He is a poor mans Adam Clune IMO

It was beautiful at 4am. And 5,6,7 and 8am and right up to half-time when my mood turned sour and the ban-able words come spewing out in abundance and with venomomous vitriol.

We need to give some players a go that are hungry I didnt really care for Seyfarth last season but he came on and had a red hot crack. We were already beaten by then but if i compare his effort (off contract) to Musgrove 3.5 more years bloody hell hopefully its not on decent coin. JtJ look frustrated as hell the ball refuses to go to him and then when it does he over plays his hand because for whatever reason they constantly go to the other side. Noffa looks like someone thats just signed a deal same as last time killed it last year now nothing. Brooks i dont know what the hell to do with him he needs to move on he's stuck in a rut and we are stuck i it with him. As for Madge if he cant sort it out he needs to go as well i know we have had coach after coach but something needs to change. Lock us in for the spoon we show no effort lack of care factor other teams that will be there or there about the dogs and broncos will lap us we are that bad.
