We are a shambles in attack

Our defence is horrible .....we play dumb in both attack and defence

It hasn't improved in 4 games

This is either an on field issue in attack ...Brooks is the organizer or it is poor coaching ...then it's Madge fault

And Madge picks Brooks ....

Something has to give ..or they both can go

And I wait patiently for the excuseathon

Brooks was not the problem today mate . We were in it up to our eye balls. Right side defence , ie. Garner AD and Jimmy needed a rocket . Our field position was good , our game plan was good , our attack for the most part was pretty good .

Honestly that last 2 minutes doesn’t count , a fluke offside try and a Hail Mary on our tryline.

There’s a lot of kids in this team . talau , AJ , AD and they all get beaten 1 on 1 .
I. Just glad that portion of our season is over . That was torture. We are just off the top 4 , in quality . It’s mInly execution and losing key moments that’s holding us back .

I firm.y believe we will go on a run now . I know we have Souths , but it’s clean sailing for awhile .

We're not garbage because of NRL360. We're garbage because of the finals drought. Its ok because we can't compete against the better sides?

We just competed mate . I’m saying this team is built around a 21 yr old half , a 20 year old fullback , the future 9 is 19, our left side edge is 21 . We have another 20 year old on the bench , and for the most part everyone is under 26 bar Tamou and Roberts .
It’s a slow process , and I think we will break the drought this year . That’s my point .

I think we only competed when Parra played bad, same as last week. Its been a slow process for a long time now, we need to demand results sometime.

Mate I’m frustrated as well . We always lose the 50 /50 plays , some of that is officiating , but most of that is maturity in competing for every last crumb we can get .
And make no mistake it is maturity and time together . The Raiders team has been together 5 years . The roosters team , have won premierships , and this eels team have been together a long time as well .
Our issue is the constant change . There’s no continuity . Every time someone drops a ball , there’s cries he needs to be dropped , every bad game someone plays, he needs to be dropped etc . And many coaches like Taylor and potter and even Madge last year , have adhered to this type of thinking .
Which imo was fine , because the players weren’t there yet .
But now with Laurie, AD , Brooks and Liddle/ Simpkin , the players are there . So we now have to watch them clunk around and play disjointed footy , until they figure it out .
This is why I think it’s different to previous years . And if the brooks hate brigade want to get rid of him , then replace madden with brooks . But the ages of the spine are then 20,22,21, and 24 or 19.
That’s spoon territory . That eels team has been settled for a long time now , and even they arnt ready yet as Mahoney and brown are early 20s themselves .

The storm halves are deceptively older than you think , Keary Teddy , friend , and (insert gun youth half here), are all late 20s early 30s.
This stuff takes time . And like I’ve been saying , every team we have played this year is top 4 , and has strong continuity. We have zero .

But do you put a time line on it? Or do we keep on
just saying next year? I've been bagged for having a go at the club for about 7 years now, maybe longer. Is there a date on when I can expect some sort of success or when questions can be asked?

You know what, IMO that is one of the most offensive things Ive read here for a long time. You are not a better fan than anyone else. Everyone has a right to support the team anyway they like and IMO if there are any fans I'd like to see less of, its the ones with a superiority complex.

Honestly not a day to bash Brooksy today. He’s always in the frame and doing something, needs some of the guys hiding out there to make an impact.

Our attack was disgusting today ..as it has been every week

So its not Brooks fault ..who then ??

He set up 3 tries mate. Did his job. What’s Garner doing prancing around for 80 mins..

Two of his set ups were simple draw and pass.... I would hope he could do that. Did well to back up but that's not exactly the main thing you want your half doing

His kick to set up a try was very good, unfortunately every other time he tried it he kicked it 10 metres too shallow. He wasn't organising anything at all and 90% of his kicking was bad.

Tigers fans : Brooks is rubbish! He only got 3 try assists in 2020!

Also Tigers fans: Sure Brooks got 3 try assists in the one game, but they dont count.

Not at all, I have said many times here he needs to pick up his game but he was good last week and pretty good today. If people are going to hang him for 12 months because of only 3 TA's then today has to be a pass?

Don’t understand the focus on brooks today. He played decently. Involved in some tries, no errors off the boot and made his tackles. Lost because of our defence plain and simple. Douihi initial contact isn’t up to scratch, garner is too inconsistent, couldn’t stop the offloads in the middle and too many errors from kepoa. Could live with one or two of those weaknesses but currently too many.
