Blaming individual players shows a general overlooking of the simple and obvious differences between us and the Eels at this point.
Clearly their forwards ran harder and further than ours, they were much more aggressive defensively. Their attack has much more shape to it and they work much harder off the ball. They have a few players capable of taking advantage of the “luck” that comes with running and tackling hard.
On the other hand we have poor line speed and are ridiculously passive and soft in D. We run one out and have no attacking shape and are so predictable. Brooks was not the problem today mate . We were in it up to our eye balls. Right side defence , ie. Garner AD and Jimmy needed a rocket . Our field position was good , our game plan was good , our attack for the most part was pretty good .

Honestly that last 2 minutes doesn’t count , a fluke offside try and a Hail Mary on our tryline.

There’s a lot of kids in this team . talau , AJ , AD and they all get beaten 1 on 1 .
I. Just glad that portion of our season is over . That was torture. We are just off the top 4 , in quality . It’s mInly execution and losing key moments that’s holding us back .

Cronk backed it up how many times with no name players, before and after they left the Storm. How many internationals has Brooks made? Cronk blessed others, he handfed them international duties. I think we only competed when Parra played bad, same as last week. Its been a slow process for a long time now, we need to demand results sometime.

Brooks was not the problem today mate . We were in it up to our eye balls. Right side defence , ie. Garner AD and Jimmy needed a rocket . Our field position was good , our game plan was good , our attack for the most part was pretty good .

Honestly that last 2 minutes doesn’t count , a fluke offside try and a Hail Mary on our tryline.

There’s a lot of kids in this team . talau , AJ , AD and they all get beaten 1 on 1 .
I. Just glad that portion of our season is over . That was torture. We are just off the top 4 , in quality . It’s mInly execution and losing key moments that’s holding us back .

I firm.y believe we will go on a run now . I know we have Souths , but it’s clean sailing for awhile .

Just because they beat some really really bad teams , doesn’t make them good . I was wrong about bottom 4 , but I still reckon they come 12th .

We just competed mate . I’m saying this team is built around a 21 yr old half , a 20 year old fullback , the future 9 is 19, our left side edge is 21 . We have another 20 year old on the bench , and for the most part everyone is under 26 bar Tamou and Roberts .
It’s a slow process , and I think we will break the drought this year . That’s my point .

Brooks was one of our best today. 3 try assists, gave plenty of early ball to LL and Talau, steered the team in attack and made no mistakes. We were soundly beaten in the forwards, and had no line speed in defence. Your analysis of the game shows your bias against Brooks and general lack of Rugby League knowledge.

He was dreadful.

He had one good play backing up Lucy
Other than that Doueihi is a one man show ..

Blaming individual players shows a general overlooking of the simple and obvious differences between us and the Eels at this point.
Clearly their forwards ran harder and further than ours, they were much more aggressive defensively. Their attack has much more shape to it and they work much harder off the ball. They have a few players capable of taking advantage of the “luck” that comes with running and tackling hard.
On the other hand we have poor line speed and are ridiculously passive and soft in D. We run one out and have no attacking shape and are so predictable. We are way to shallow and flat and our forwards can rarely win enough momentum and space for our halves. Add to this a couple of dumb crucial errors and SIMPLY we cannot match it with the better squads.
