I totally agree with Madge's post match analysis of the refereeing in Sunday's match V Parramatta. The 10 minute sin bin sanction for Blore's minor man handling of the opponent while he's running back to defend is totally and completely out of kilter with the exact same penalty handed to Maika Sivo's offence for his act of foul play, hitting an opponent in the head and finishing his afternoon. THIS WAS AN IMMEDIATE SEND OFF just 4 rounds ago. The inconsistency and lack of parity is mind boggling and it's killing off the teams who are having the greatest struggle to be competitive in matches. Just witness the massive number of blow out scorelines this season. I have watched Rugby League for over 45 years. This game is in real danger of destroying itself through lack of fairness, lack of consistency and lack of competence from officials at all levels.

No amount of good preperation for a game and no NRL team can win a game against a biased ref.
In almost every game i can see and i'm left to feel that the bias is very evident against our team.
It was very evident against souths and it was very evident this game against parra
I'm hoping that the Tigers management drop everything and analyze all these games minute by minute and then discuss it with the shameless corrupt NRL.

As you say, if they are going to keep a 6 again rule of some description, it should be tweaked.

Under the old rules, an infringement on tackle 1 allows you an easy gain of 20-30 mteres via a kick to touch. Now, the defending team only gives up 1 extra tackle and it allows them to set their defensive line - A big advantage to the defending team when compared to the old rules.

I just reckon a 9 tackle set emulates the old penalty better, especially coming out of your red zone.

He's has never been quick ...and is too easy to stand up in the middle ..we have enough problems across the park defensively

You don't get a player's attention with a penalty, they just dust off and reset for another defensive set. You get some attention with 6-again because they start to get knackered. You get A LOT of attention with a sin bin.

Football bastardises rules as bad as anything NRL has done - VAR has been horrendous, it took them a million years to get goal-line technology and they use a dubious line-drawing mechanism in the Premier League for offsides. All that for what is supposed to be a very simple game.

Well you can have your opinion mate. I for one find football reffing to be very hard to tolerate, and they spend an awful amount of time talking about it, esp. penalties and handballs. And in a game won by small score margins.

Union is the worst globally. It all really depends how many rules you have and how difficult it is physically to police them.

Lol. I actually like the 6 again rule and the effect on the game with one caveat, it needs to be consistent. That’s where the issue is currently and when they get it wrong it’s a mess and cruels the game and certainly had a big impact on our game on Sunday.
