Disappointed that I thought we were a much better team this year. We’re not. Somethings wrong.

Nah , we just lost key moments , like that 5 min period just after half time . I know it’s disappointing, but I think we are definitely better . We lack penetration on the right . AD is lay down mesere to start at 6. I can’t believe anyone was questioning that .

I have never come across anyone who has blinkers on more than you.it’s ok to be positive and optimistic but I think you are blind to the reality as far as this team is concerned. It’s just ground hog day

What , no it’s round 1 , and we lost the game in a 10 minute period literally from the 41st minute through to the 50th .
It was 6 all at half time .

A lot of you guys , lack any rational thoughts . Canberra are an elite team . We stayed with them in the forwards , which we haven’t done in previous years . That’s what I look at. Like I said in another thread , come talk to me when we aren’t playing competition heavyweights , and the spine solidifies itself , and continuity grows . Mbye for 1 ,spent the whole offseason at fullback . Laurie arrived 2 weeks ago, our 6 was watching from the bench .

No complaints with Mbye it was a big ask and of course Laurie was a standout .But as long as we are not competitive against the top sides we have no hope of making the 8, no good just beating the also ran’s it’s just masking over the problems with the team and the coach

We’ll do OK this year barring injuries. Kept the Raiders scoreless for the first 33 minutes. Second half will get better. We still need to stop stupid unnecessary errors, they are what killed use. Both Brooks and Mbye’s kicking game were poor.

Laurie was awesome, he’s our fullback. Mbye to the bench or 18 and AD to 5/8.

Good summary. Pressure on BJ and garner. Brooks still crumbles under pressure

JO, DL, LL standouts. Jet looked dangerous.

Need AD and someone for garner. Verdict out on brooks.

We have to honest and accept that Mbye and Packer are very expensive mistakes, so we shall make all efforts to close this issue, and sell them ASAP, and until then the CC is theirs.
Laurie has shown that he is much, much better FB then Mbye just in two games.

We held our own for 40 minutes against a genuine contender. A try from a silly penalty, kicking out on the full, poor defence, stupid offloads and pure bad luck (the ricochet) cost us dearly. Once you've fallen down the well it's very hard to climb your way back out.

Any semblance of structure - already difficult with so many new guys - went out the window. Our edges saw barely any ball suggesting our link play was breaking down.

Disappointed in Garner (dumb penalty which started the rot) and BJ who simply has no self control.

The first half shows we're capable, the second half shows we have a way to go.

I was at the game today .. yes we played badly but by crikey the ref has a lot to explain .. why when the Raiders have a player down when we are in attack .. the trainer calls for the stretcher so the ref holds up play while we are in attack .. the ref runs over to see how he is .. no stretcher comes on and player limps off with what appeared to be shoulder injury, and they got a free HIA replacement .. ?? .. but later in the game we have a player down, our trainer calls for the ref to hold the play but no the ref waves play on and Raiders take advantage of the Tigers a man down and they score ... why did the ref NOT hold up play like he did for the Raiders .. ?? There is way too much inconsistency in when the ref holds up play. The Raiders must have had a Canberra linesman on one side as he pulled us up 4 times twice when we got in the clear .. but allowed Canberra to throw a ball 2 meters forward and touchie let it go .. !! he got an ear full from all the Tigers supporters there. Ref Sutton gave the Raiders a couple of 6 again calls on the 5th and last .. but we have gave us 6 again it was on the 1st or 2nd tackles .. made a huge difference getting 6 again on the 5th.

BJ needs to learn to hold the ball .. you dont have to try the miracle ball / offload everytime. Moses Mbye was a passenger out there .. Brooks had no control at any stage of the game. Why was Lucy playing out wide like he did against Manly .. ?? Mikaele was pretty much ineffective out there. Liddle .. he still doesnt excite me enough for him to remain our number 9 .. Garner .. hmmm its time to go .. Simpkins and Blore need to be in our starting side .. and Simpkin has has to be our number 14

Next week's game is the most important game the team has played in a long time, Roosters will most likely be missing Friend,crichton Radley, a loss by the tigers will probably lead to an 0-4 start to the season, where a solid performance and surprise win could give them the confidence they need to compete with Newcastle and Parramatta and really compete this year
