Well Nofo ended up with the MOM award last night

C'Mon I loved it when he made the Chad and Duges look like hoarded toilet paper and Williams a speed bump..

Did you love all the 2nd tackle negative or negigible metre gains ....that many times he steps inside ...get flogged and ends up going backwards because he has no momentum

Ah that ole chestnut...Yet he still makes the most metres of anyone in our team consistently..

189m last night...30m in front of everyone else..go figure


He's been in our top handful of players for the last 3-4years, yet everyone focuses on his inability to shut down a 3-man overlap. The sharks markers were very aware of jumping quickly and turning him back inside last night, needs a bit more width.

Especially when the 3 man overlap is because the defence inside stuffs up.The weakest part of his game is catching a high ball but he is still our best winger by far

I really think those who rush to blame nofo for any tries down his side lack a fundamental understanding of how defence works. The problems on the right side began on the edge far inside bj and nofo, where a 2 man overlap developed. This was exacerbated by the ability of Graham to run or kick, which made running out of the line to shut it down dangerous.

Also, cronulla were onto nofo running the ball out and cutting back inside. Either the 9 needs to run and engage the markers who the pass needs to be wider to get nofo outside the markers. I think it could be a key focus at training this week.

Agreed, most of the time it is his wing, BUT....

It is not always his fault, most of the time it is the players closer to the ruck rather than the right outside centre and right winger.

Why, do you think he has not been dropped by three different coaches. They know.

I don't get to see every game
But for those I don't see, I listen to or see the replays
Look at how Brett or Josh Morris chased down and tackled two south's players in the one play on Friday night
That was outstanding
These guys were ment to have been passed thier used by date but they just keep on performing
I have never seen Nofoluma defend like that EVER
Maybe the coaches think that Nofolumas carries out weigh his defensive issues
Or maybe they don't think we have anyone better for his wing position
Something needs to change
Over all the years Nofoluma has been our right winger, it has always been an area of concern
It doesn't matter who has been inside him
Nofoluma has always been the common denominator
Our right side has been broken for years and it's time to fix it

How many wingers do defend like Brett Morris did the other night?

The number 5 for Penrith is doing ok against Edrik Lee

That is just a typical Morris play, all heart, that is why they are still playing in the outside backs after all this time.
