If Brooks put any pass on anyone's chest when they were more then 1cm from the defence it would help. He is the king of the hospital pass. Rubbish first half by both teams , worry that Grant is gone for the game although the 2 hookers could work for us late in 2nd half when their forwards are tired
 
Got to say we looked a whole lot better in attack the first two weeks with Moses running the show. Brooks is taking the wrong option too often at present.

Yeah nah. You can't pick Rankin again Taylor.
 
We will run oyt of steam losing Grant and the idiotic decision by Taylor to have 2 hookers and Buchanan on the bench. If we win this it will be a miracle

Taylors team selections this year have been ordinary, but today they are disgraceful

Apart from dropping a hot ball from Brooks that the refs ruled a forward pass and being stripped of a ball (but not receiving a penalty), what has Rankin done wrong?

Im happy with the guys. Defence has been our problem all year and at least we are showing some starch this game.

Our biggest problem is in dummy half. Neither Halatau nor Farah are capable of good service. Its a real issue and is why our attack is looking so flat but yes lets blame the winger and a prop forward who has played 10 minutes.

Just need to fix the handling errors. I think our attack is better and the Eels are down two front rowers while Grant is gone for us. The second half will be a battle of attrition so it's important we start well and hold the ball. I think we can work the Eels over through the middle with Farah and Cherrington.

Not a fan of the decision either but I would have thought more smaller guys will mean better fitness? I assume we will see all of Cherro, Halatau and Farah on the field at some stage.
 
mate rankin has been better then brooks jeebus i must be watching a different game neither have been great but brooks has been worst on field
 
The style we play will put us under pressure in defence if it doesn't come off.
Defence great from both sides. But some silly drop balls From both sides.
The game is there for the taking whichever can wear out the forwards

He's dropped two, one coming out of our end to put pressure on, one that was on his chest with a chance to go the length. He was slipping and sliding and slow as a wet week chasing through a Brooks kick. He's just plebian. Average. Stop accepting mediocrity.
 
Brooks is throwing his flat passes too hard. You need soft hands when delivering the ball at the last second. Certainly a weakness in his game and needs to be addressed.
 
Very good defence, in attack Woods already run 96m :slight_smile:
Sue and Seumanufagai were very good
We will miss Grant's contribution.
Parra is in panic whenever Tedesco has the ball.
Naiqama is very good, this season is certainly his best.
We need to hold the ball, and we should not push passes.
Farah needs to do more.
We need to improve our kicking game.
