Other than suggesting there aren't suitable coaches available, can the Maguire apologists come up with a case for retainung Maguire. The truth is it will be hard to make one. Are you employed by the club?

We've tried a merry go round of coaches. None have been rookie coaches, all have had experience elsewhere. And none can achieve success. Why? We don't have the cattle. Simple as that. We can't attract top players in the way that the Roosters or Melbourne can, so our only option is to build up with youth - which is precisely what we're doing under Madge. Ivan the Terrible tried the opposite approach and it was disastrous for us.

The way the club is building a team now is precisely what Penrith (pre-Cleary) were doing, and in time it brings success, but that is not instant! Throwing our toys out of the cot and demanding instant success will just end up wasting more years.

And of course asking for patience is frustrating when we've gone nowhere in a decade - but we haven't gone nowhere in a decade under Madge, we've gone nowhere in a decade by starting from scratch every 2-3 years.

Everything im told is he leads team meetings and is one of the most vocal in that situation. I don't see him doing that on the field though.

I don't think he's been the best player in our team in any game mate, sorry.

Hopefully Gildart has the skills to make it but in case he doesn't , we need other options.
