I only have one question in the end with the grounding ..why did they stop looking at the second angle

That angle they decided on ...there was no way you can see if the ball is coming loose

His pinky was definitely off the ball ..you can't see if their is a shadow between ball and hand from that angle

The only fair angle was the 2nd angle and the ball is sliding out of his hand from that angle

So if you can't see the shadow ...which is the only way you can determine it from that angle ..the only angle was the 2nd angle ...watch it again ...when we all saw that angle all 4 in my house cheered .....my eyes aren't that bad

They can't tell from the 1st angle it's impossible unless you have an overhead shot ...2nd shot shows separation ....and the ball is heading straight towards that first camera angle

Hypothetically if they find such vision can the result be reversed? There was a precedent set in the afl a few years back where the result was reversed... One can live in hope.

I think Burgess just got the ball down fairly - but I’d like to see Mitchell’s effort to get out of the in goal area near the sideline again because they brushed over that on TV and i thought his foot touched the sideline. Also the kicking incident on Garner was an absolute joke, as was the ruling that campbell graham never knocked on in that kick challenge. Sutton caned us repeatedly early on with the 6 again rulings.
In the end we deserved to win that game and it was incredibly unlucky that we didn’t. I hope the team can see the positives and move on with efforts like that game for the rest of the season.

Well, woke up this morning, was really surprised with how close the score was.

Looks like we actually put in an 80 minute effort and that Souths only got the points with 14 players on the field.

Saw that Latrell hit on Noffa as well, how the hell was he not sent off for that??? protected species.

I'm reading it as don't be discouraged by the start to the year we are building as a club which we saw last night so stick with us because we will do good things. If they play like that every week I believe them

A shame we didn't get the 2, but proud of the team tonight. Above all, the EFFORT was good to see. Many were expecting a 50 point thrashing.

As well as our effort, the most pleasing thing was that Souths actually played well. Off tonight we have shown that our team really can match it with the best.

The "Madge is useless, we have no good players, the club's in crisis" talk has been very much overblown. We've had a very tough draw to start the season, and I think the Cowboys match was the aberration, not tonight.

Let's see it for the remainder of the season before we start with the Madge is a demi god coach rhetoric.

You’re a goon mate . You can score 36 points every game , but it means nothing if you’re letting in 37 .
Where as if a team finds it near impossible to score against you , at some , point in a game you will get opportunities , the sharks won a premiership around this type of mentality .

You’re 100% wrong on this . We didn’t lose because of attack , we lost because of key defensive errors at costly times , which is what the 80 minute performance talk is about .

If I have to explain this to you , “defence wins games” not attack , then I’m dumbfounded . There’s been countless teams with no attack , who were half decent because they had rock solid defence .
Balmain tigers circa 1999, 1998. We were garbage in attack , relying on Mick Gillett shanks , and Ben Duckworth cutout balls close to the line , cause we had nothing else . I remember this clearly as a teenager .
The sharks in their premiership window , the tigers in the Cleary years , the panthers when Soward and Wallace were the halves . It seems obvious to me , but whatever , you cling to your hate , where I’ll stick to reality .
