A Wests Tigers B team lost 8-0 to a Cowboys B team correct…

The effort was there..

Well if efforts all u need to win a game then, well we are still in it.

Are you being serious or is this a gee up can't tell…..I have witnessed many peaheart performances from the Wests Tigers in the past just last year much worse than this one...

Yes you may have, but did you notice that the then coach took steps to improve the team? Not so with this team.

I wonder if the players love Taylor as much as they hated Potter, they're playing to the same standard. Taylor is kidding with this pathetic structure or lack of.

Don't compare Taylor to Potter. We were never this bad with Potter.

Remember that time potter was coach and cowboys beat us by 60?

Lol

It would have been 60 + with there full squad

I feel sick - this is what it's come to. No really, I feel sick in the stomach. They say you have to hit rock bottom before recovery. Well, I fear we've not reached that yet. We can go lower. Meyer should be run out of town. Can't believe he's led us here. So much promise not so long ago, but now….Why on earth would any player worth his salt want to join this mob?

Simple fact of the matter is the coach has no idea.

One out inept plays for weeks on end. Stiffled havles pairing, a hooker whom (Farah) is well below is best. We never seem to have a game plan against any body.

Tackle 1 - One man hit up, only to be dominated at the ruck.
Tackle 2 - As per 1
Tackle 3 - As per 1 & 2
Tackle 4 - As per 1,2 & 3
Tackle 5 - Since we have gained little ground, let's spread the ball.
Tackle - Bomb and hope

Our coach is an embarrassment to first grade rugby league football. His game plans week in and week out cast great doubts on whether he has ever passed a basic rugby league coaching course.

Did you see the post game press conference?

One word: Speechless

Well yes and no. Honest about our performance, yes. Honest about his contribution, no.

I spoke to one of the NRL's many assistant coaches recently. They cannot believe the stifling play at the Tigers. By being so predictable in attack, they know we offer nothing other than simple three set up plays before offering anything.

**Potential**

The same person said the following,

Tigers edges could be far more effective. Moses is excellent of instinct, educate him about certain situations and let him play off Brooks (don't play him down one side only)

You can look at this two ways

Is attack more important or is defence more important ??

AS JT said we have tried with the Benjiball since 2005 and basically have nothing to show for it

Lets genuinely try and set up a great defence that we can always fall back on , when we are having a bad day in attack

Good defence will always keep you in the game

Look at last night for example , we didn't score a point , but even in the 76 minute we were still in the game

That's the huge difference

Everything this assistant coach said is true , but getting our defence right is our first and biggest priority

Exactly. Defence and attack are two aspects of the game. Strong defence is a must, no doubt. Explosive / expansive attack is also needed. The teams that do this well are currently in the top 4.

Re 2005, we may have played Benjiball but our defence was rock solid at the back end of the season. Just look at the for and against throughout the season, the again look at the for and against in finals series. The numbers speak for themself.

Tigers 50 - 6 Cowboys
Tigers 34 - 6 Broncos
Tigers 20 - 12 Dragons
Tigers 30 - 16 Cowboys

We won those games off the back of our defence

The Broncos game they hammered us for at least 25 minutes and we broke them , off the back of some luck yes but it was our defence

But the problem was the game changed and we didn't until some brief periods while we made the semis

We are a team of imposters coached by an imposter coach. The cold hard reality is that only Teddy & Woods would make the starting sides of the leagues top 4\. Tapau who's form is on the slide and has never impressed with his stamina, may get a interchange spot - he is only good for 15 minute bursts. Farah; Simona (if fit); Noffa (if fit) may make the top 25.Potential is illusory as it doesn't register on the scoreboard. Taylor has no ideas so takes the safe approach by not trying anything in an attempt to eliminate mistakes - he only succeeds in making us the most boring one dimensional side in the league. How easy would it be to formulate a game plan to combat the Tigers, I mean we simply don't ask any questions of the oppositions defence. We simply don't have the cattle at present to compete at a consistent level; the salary cap is a farce and sadly we are a spent force for 2015\. If there are any fans remaining 2016 will see us sneak into the 8 but with this imposter coach we will be cannon fodder for the top teams that can 'create' while we stick to our 'robotic' predictable structures.

mate u been so positive in previous threads.
