@Fraze23 DRAGONS????? 😂 The Kogarah Girl Guides could beat the Dragons. You obviously don't see much NRL in Germany?

I see more here than I did back home. But I've seen enough of the Tigers over the last 20 year's to know we're absolute specials to drop one this close to the finals. I wish I had your confidence. I'm convinced we'll drop a game against a Lower opposition, either Canterbury or the Dragons.

On paper the Dragons have a top 8 possibly top 4 squad, their problem is their coach is garbage.

I'm over in Germany at the moment, only just saw the game (after a full day of avoiding social media, phew).

Glad we got the win, we desperately needed it. But in saying that I can't help but feel a little disappointed. We should have put the Cowboys to the sword. They were asking for 50 to be put on them, but as ink said it took us a solid hour to put them away.

To make the semis we can only afford to drop one game. If we play like that against Manly, Cronulla or the Dragons we won't be playing finals footy. They need to find another gear and find it fast.

The better sides probably would have put them to the sword, but we aren’t that good of a side to do so. It was still a good win though. We didn’t give up two or three tries late and win 28-20. Better looking at the points we didn’t concede opposed to the points we didn’t score.

Fair point mate. Defence was good, but It comes back to the age old argument of accepting mediocrity and for the bulk of that game we were mediocre in attack.

All in all a good performance. It's hard to get a great gauge on it out there as you kind of get caught up in the emotion of it all. I actually don't mind that it took 60 mins to put them away. To me it was a controlled performance where calm heads prevailed, the forwards hit hard and ran hard and patience was the key instead of panic. Thumbs up from me.

On a side note, sitting near the Glen Morrison dunnies i made my first visit there in 30+ years. Nothing has changed but a fresh coat of paint. My young fella came out of there in disbelief :grinning:

But the lighting was great!....you could see what you were doing....

I've been pretty critical of Marsters lately and I must say, he showed some improvement last night. Cowboys were horrible, but never the less, he looked alot more interested. Still would like too see him given a crack in the back row, but it may be too risky atm if we are half a chance of making the finals. Good on ya Esan. Also, nice to see Mbye tackle with some physicality. Have a top weekend WTs fans and let's hope some other results this round go our way.

I love benji but jesus how did he get mom tonight

Because he led the team around the park. There was even one time he literally pushed Mbye away from dummy half so he could get the ball out to our left. He was integral to the win.

They guy has turned back the clock big time! I never thought I’d ever see Benji play this well again after 2011.

Question : the game they were talking about in 2000 we lost ....was that Easter Saturday .....we rested our NZ international players after the Anzac Test and got rolled ......

All very possible except perhaps this one... “Titans thrash Roosters” 😂

Just want to look at it from the other angle - seems nobody else is (possibly for a good reason). Cowboys have a number of injuries at the moment and one of the reasons they have a forward playing in the centre, however I have seen them play a couple of really good games over the past month. So, still wouldn't say they are a crap side.

On the positive side, i'll drag the old faithful out now "you only play as good as the opposition let you" and we didn't let them do too much. Our defence was solid, line speed probably better than any time this year and the chase after kicks was excellent. All of this gave them very limited opportunities.

On the negative side and it is much more apparent when you are there rather than watching on television - Cows were allowed to be offside for probably 70% of the time we had the ball and got pinged only a couple of times. The referees did their best to try and keep the Cows in the game with some shocking calls in their favor and calls that were not made in our favor. These few points in this paragraph stifled our attack and is one of the reasons we did not put them away earlier.

The other point I would like to make is - Momirovski - not as many people rubbishing him this week I see. People are quick to condemn but not many prepared to give a young bloke much of a go. This was only his eighth NRL game and only his sixth for us. He needs to improve his game obviously and will improve I am sure if given the chance.

Russ I agree with a lot of your points ....but the no try for the obstruction would be close to one of the biggest screw ups this season

As I said to the young fella ...the minute they looked at it twice ...

Forum members would be howling the place down if we had been on the end of that call

Thanks for the positives, don't agree on the obstruction Hap, but take your point.

he still isn't taking the line at real pace .....he did roll his ankle early in the 2nd half

He was MOTM tonight , but .....I dunno maybe it is just me but he isn't running at full throttle

lol

Seriously Geo ...did he hit full speed tonight once ??

Yes when he knocked the ball out of Feldt's hands

with the ball in hand .....

I'm not knocking him .....I'm asking the question

With the ball in hand I note he is up to 3rd for TRY assists in the NRL with 18..of course 17 of them were flukes..

@TheDaBoss
I was at the game and have only just started to look at the live game thread. Your prediction was pretty close.

With 17 flukes how many were “hand of god “ moments?

Wanted to focus on some of our less popular players.

Clark is growing every week alot of starch in defence and is getting good metres.

Momo was a beast great hard runs alot of work to do for his try and struck his goal kicks extremely well dare I say better then marsters and mbye.

Marsters was solid hopefully he grows in confidence.

Mbye was really good defence was brutal.

Brooks was excellent not his biggest fan but he was awesome last night

They changed to Momirovski for goal kicking because Mbye’s knee wasn’t 100 percent half way through the game.

I’ve been saying for a while we are a better team than last year. We are building nicely I can see us going in a run for the next few games. I sense last game of the year against the Sharks will be a decider for getting into the finals.
