Are you guys serious ? How is brooks at fault in anyway there ? The whole wide shot was jus thin being the only tigers player from the right side of the picture to sprint to be in position to even have an air swing .
I’ll say it again , Hastings one on one defence is absolute dogshit !
He’s 97kg and hits like a wet sponge .

Brooks ran back and competed and then he took a swing at the ball when he should have fallen on it.

He also went for that play which was clearly planned but he did it at the wrong time.

He did everything right but those critical errors at critical times are unacceptable.

Did you see Hastings kick for Laurie to score. He comes up with good plays at the right time. Sure he needs to work on his defense but you can't keep justifying Brooks brain explosions.

We have 12 players. The Eels are a good side so they knew to take advantage. But the WTs are competing and our defence has been great.

Brooks has done plenty of defence playing pretty well. The last 2 tries have all been down Douhie and Junior Tupou's side

Hastings first up contact is disgraceful. He grabs, gets bumped off and the ball carrier gets another 5 to 10mtrs.

I'll tell you why. He can defend and he can play. His kicking game was really good out there. His defense was good. He busts his gut as well. He runs back to actually defuse that kick and they do attack down AD's and Hastings side because they are poor defenders,

It's like he plays well until there is a key moment in the game and then he just comes up with dumb decisions.

Strong carries from our outside back, forwards getting over the ad line, a lot to like about the opening 20 odd minutes. That sin bin really swung momentum. I think that call was a joke, but whatever. If they can come out in the 2nd half the way they started the 1st and put together 40 minutes, we are right in this. Agree with the early kick to give away possession but he cam across in cover and had a go there to shut it down. The try came from the poor D on our RHS.

He also made a shit defensive read to lead to the break . He’s horrible in defence . And brooks is the best defensive half in the comp , but average in attack .
And I’m not under any circumstances defending that kick . It was shit . And no way he dives on that ball . He’s not Carl Lewis .
