Having Lawrence at 6 gives us so much defensive strength on that edge
Attack wise it isn't great , but attack isn't our issue
Winning after getting flogged is never easy , especially losing a play maker seconds before kick off
It wasn't pretty , we had a fair bit of luck ,Souths were horrible , but we did enough to get the two points

Ava and Sue were fantastic tonight. When they were on, we were a different side. Ava is becoming a very good player.
Farah and Lawrence also excellent.
Nofa really needs to get the errors out of his game. Always at critical times.
We werent great tonight but it was a good performance. 6 tries to 4\. 2 tries from Souths were pure ass.

Heroic effort, to win against possums without Woods, Grant, Moses and without Tedesco for more than half of the game is fantastic. Our forwards matched them and even dominated, we outrun one of the most physical team by 100 m WOW :slight_smile:
Everyone contributed, even Farah :slight_smile:, he finally decided to play, and his pass secured us the game.
We completed 91% of plays which is fantastic.
Rankin was very good, 155 m from 15 runs. Nofoaluma was excellent in attack, 211 n from 18 runs.
Brooks arguably played his best game for WT, where was this effort in the last few games?
Seumanufagai & Sue were our best forwards, Lawrence, Sironen, Aloiai, Lovett, CK, Falise all run hard.
Simona and Naiqama were very good in attack.
Nofoaluma and Naiqama have to play learn to better read the game and have better positional game.

We almost beat the Storm - some said the Storm were crap.
We beat "The Pride of the League" - some say Souffs were crap.
You can only play what is in front of you - and we were better.
When we were crap last week - no one here used that as an excuse for us.
Credit where credit is due. No Woods, Grant, Moses and half a Teddy. A well earned win - they have my admiration, well done boys. Good to see pride in the jumper and the club. Well done JT.

Sure we played tough, but we also played dumb, let tries in either side of halftime again, made some horrible defensive errors, we would have been lapped by most teams.
I am so glad they finally won after 6 straight losses, but the flaws that cost us 6 straight losses were there for all to see, and they invented some new ones last night as well.
The courage and pride was there, but that won't get us another win playing like we did, I hope they can get some players back before the next game, it is 2 weeks away, and try and fix the problems we have either side of halftime, and also the defensive problems that even a disinterested souths exposed.
Good news is we should have a 3 point buffer to last place after the weekend.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone on the forum. Currently have no reception and Internet is sparodic for the time being. I only get to read what happens after the event and live the ups and downs of the match through the eyes of the forum members. It is absolutely priceless and very much appreciated.
