Benji, left knee out for the season, thank christ for that, the most overrated player in rugby league.

I am so pleased we have a good football judge and a great Wests Tigers fan on the Forum. Obviously, NOT a Wests Tigers lover?

Spoken like a true Western Suburbs whinger! I love the Tigers mate, if you think Marshall has been playing well this year then your a better judge than me.

I was only joking about the injury, it's only a knock to his left knee, but he needs a wake up call, his game all year has been substandard, but no one has the guts to put him back to park football.

fascinating game, one of our best performances of the year IMO

I LOVED it, bar the closing five minutes

first time I've seen the Storm and they are the real deal

I think based on our effort it's clear we're a top 5 team on our day, but lack the toughness, smarts and class to truly trouble the Storm and Dragons

Lui showed he's a handful in attack but is at sea in defence. Missed a few in the short time he was on.

Moltzen never really imposed himself on the game for mine… bar the silly penalty and headscratching kick at the end, he was solid. He's definitely not a centre and whilst better in FB and half, hasn't set the world on fire in either. Needs consistent time in one or the other.

Simona was mostly good in defence. I thought they really went at him and he was up to the task, besides his bad read on Proctor's try.

The forwards were excellent. Ellis is a beast, Gibbs was great, Woods was brilliant. Heighno was good. Gallo, on and on. Fifita is a handful at the end of games.

Dwyer needs to stand up though. Thoroughly ordinary season so far from him. He's young, we'll see.

Farah - shocker?? Curious to know what people will say. Today I think he showed why he's missed out on Rep footy so often. Yes, the refs 10m calls did him wrong, but he made some glaring mistakes and his was not a captain's knock today.

Biggest thing for mine - our backline. Ryan and Brown have shown they are solid firstgraders but nothing more. I can only imagine Lote, Lawrence or even Tui on the end of some of those plays today. Ayshford is near that first tier of quality centres and shows great promise. He ain't there yet, had a top game today, but didn't change the game in any way.

If Benji is out... i didn't want to think about it. Injuries have ruined what was a very promising season.

oh and gazroc, I admire your persistence

Apparently Carney had a blinder for the Jets yesterday

can't imagine what Benji would do in reserves then 😱pen_mouth:

Gret post mate. Agree with all of it. That try where Brown was held up would have been scored by both Utai and Tuqiri…oh well.

who cares if he wasn't joking,so the guy isn't allowed to have an opinion? btw didn't Marshall do his knee when he came off in the roosters semi last yr and still played the next week?

The thing that today highlights is the lack options attacking out wide outside of Ayshford. There were a couple of occasions today where the Tigers had the space outside the Storm, but are just lacking the genuine speed and power to capitalise. We're really missing Lawrence and Tuqiri on the left edge, and Utai while not the best in defensive positioning, makes good metres which the Tigers are also missing.

Of course he's allowed to have an opinion. just as others are free to say said opinion is pure rubbish.

well according to grandstand it looks like Benji's knee is just a minor thing, he could be right to play next week

There did not appear to be too much in it. He walked off unassisted and was not limping too bad. If he misses any games, I don't think it will be many. The short turnaround against the Bulldogs might count against him though which is a shame because they rudderless at the moment.

yeah that's a possibility with the bye the following week that they might rest him anyway, the Dogs are woeful at the moment, but you know us, we have a tendency to play sides into some form. Personally, I'd be happy if they rested him still, but it's iffy.

what the hell??? no one should be happy for a player to get injured, let alone one of our own

Let alone our best player by a huge gap. Ellis is a gun then Benji then daylight.

I thought our forwards dominated theirs. Ellis in my opinion is the best forward in the game. Galloway and Woods were good and Heighno whilst not at his usual high level was still very good.

I thought Fifita was pretty average.
