If it turns out that the old school supporters just arent willing to compromise then the club either has to make a call and risk alienating a faction of the fan base or they do what they are doing now and look for easy options like Liverpool.

Keep in mind it really isnt the club pushing this Liverpool thing its our rusted on fans who just wont budge and move in to the future.

Who won't budge? I'm very willing to let go of the past, I'm not ok with moving fulltime to a stadium that is past its use by date.

But im sure you understand that we cant go on playing at three or four home grounds. A decision needs to be made.

And that will involve compromises for both sides of the merger.

100% I push for one ground more than most, If we are doing it though it needs to be the right decision. CSS is outdated, we struggle to draw a crowd or make a profit there.

Yeah i agree. it needs a redevelopment.

As a former Balmain supporter i only approve of the move if they lobby for a redevelopment.

I want a 20k state of the art stadium out there..

Anything less is a waste and insult to the tradition that Leichhardt has to offer.

20k is too small and it seems it has missed out on funding.

Trying to be realistic. Ideally 25k.

It missed out on funding as playing 4 games there is a waste of tax payers money. Needs to be a full commitment to play all games there or no funding will ever be approved.

I'd want 30k, but it didn't even get funding for 20k. I'd be happy for a move there with a new 30k stadium

Look at SFS
ANZ
leave the dogs to Liverpool

SFS is in the Eastern Suburbs
ANZ is the worse ground in the comp.

SFS is nice and close to Ashfield and Concord.

Parramatta is just as close, and quicker to get to? Not to mention closer to other areas in our catchment.

I wouldn't and I lots of others that I know would not set foot in Parramatta Stadium.

Doesn't mean much to you or the club but that is fact - hopefully there are lots more of us.

That was more in argument to the SFS idea, I like Bankwest but am aware others don't. I don't agree with their reasons but understand them. Would you be happy with Liverpool?

No, Cochise - think the SW is dead to us.

What is the good of a 20k ground, LO holds 20k - not sure of CSS, probably close to it as well.

30k or nothing to my mind. I am sure you could revamp LO & CSS to at least 25k without spending too much and adding corporate boxes as well. Why do Saints, Manly and the Riff grounds get upgraded and ours doesn't, why are they forcing us to move?

The council won't allow a proper development of LO. Darcy wanted new seats when asked.

LO was one of the 1st grounds mentioned when this was raised and that was his response.

Darcy is absolutely clueless and one of the main reasons LO will never be redeveloped. He has about as much foresight as a mashed potato.

" ... as much foresight as a mashed potato" Did you make that up? I don't get it.

= None.

No, I "get" that bit. Why a "mashed potato"? That's the bit I don't get. Are you saying that until a potato is mashed it has foresight? That's a weird proposition.

Don’t read to much into it or over analyse. If you got none then you got the point.

We are 100% a westie Club, arn't we.
"how about 2M to redo a stadium", Look I know a mate who does Reo, We can use the steel from another project and the players can get some experience working the mix. We can do this for 20K including the Maccas runs.

Well thats what they need to find out. Its a merger and both original fan bases would need to be considered. Considered that is but not have them dictate the result. This club has a lot of fans who have no previous affiliation and they are just as important.

Good point with a Campbletown Home ground and an Orange jersey that accommodates everyone a little bit

If this gets up we should just move to ANZ as we will have it all to ourselves. Souffs will go to SFS, Canterbury to Liverpool and Saints to Kogarah. Drop down curtains on the top tiers will give us a 45k stadium which according to some on here we will be filling in no time at all.

good point drop the curtains down on top level ANZ and it is ours with souths moving to SFS close to COE and Ashfield Leagues. Take the Rozelle license and put something small at homebush near ANZ capture the crowd.
We were there in 2005 and it worked and accommodated crowd for big games
Better than liverpool as an option

Honestly play out of Liverpool as a tenant of the Bulldogs ???? but oh no not at BankWest ! where is the rational in that ! Enlighten.. this is how ridiculous this debate is becoming ...

You do realise that Liverpool, more specifically the top of Hoxton Park road, where the stadium would be, is Tiger territory yes? It’s when you cross the bridge on Newbridge road that it crosses over to Dogs territory.

I meant orange jersey has been left out for last few years in favour of white or grey combine that with a move to liverpool and it looks a bit ordinary. Liverpool is like back to the future it didnt work SW for magpies it won't work for us, people don't want to be travelling to liverpool to watch football games, we may aswell stay at Bankwest

I think its time that WT'S designed a jersey that would stand the the test of time just like the Balmain black and gold Wests black and white Saints red and white Souths red and green and not to forget the old Newtown bluebag they could produce a special jersey for breast cancer,Anzac day and Indigenous round but settle on jersey that if if your born a WT'S it means something. They should immediately do away with the away jumper and also that ghastly white jersey which to me means surrender.
A jumper with a mixture of black white and gold V with either a gold saddle and black bottom with black shorts and with gold and white stripes socks could be a mixture of gold black and white but what ever they do they need to get a jersey and stick with so our traditions can continue and every one will know who we are.
