Well, he's had a terrific career, achieving the highest in both League and Union, but I think we have seen the best of Lote. Unfortunately, injuries have gotten the better of him, his pace and agility have been badly impacted upon by that freak ankle injury he sustained again the Knights last year. I hope he regains it, if someone could defy the odds, it's him, but I just don't know.
So sad, he had a great season in 2010, proved he was worth EVERY cent, scored a bag of tries (one of the leaders in the competition), great marketing tool for the club and popular with the fans, it was a 'preview' of what was to come over the next two seasons, unfortunately, they've been hampered by injuries.
Still plenty of time to improve as the season proceeds, but at this point in time, I'd have to say I wouldn't re-sign Lote.
