Lote to Souths

Who really cares about an injury plagued, 34 year old winger going to another NRL club.

If it was young Nofo or Koirobete(?) then I'd be upset.

I just thought it was that NotTimSheens twitter taking the piss…. he must be playing cheap imo hardly played in 2 years.

In all honesty, good luck to him. He was great in his first season for us until injuries crippled his last two seasons. I'm not upset at him finding employment elsewhere if we weren't prepared to offer it.

Good sport CB. All the best Lote. Was great with the young fans in his time with us. Unfortunately your right, injury did cripple a lot of time with us, but I'm sure his experience and advice to our young wingers will be very valuable in the years to come.

Yeah, same as Benji,AtB at your new club. The last i heard he was going to be offered a reduced contract but the club wanted him to stay around, obviously not so.

I have nothing but respect for Lote, and wish him well for his term at Souths. The only thing that ever held him back was injuries, and he has always given 100% - even when injured, so the Tigers could hardly have asked for more.
I do however have concerns that Maguire might be looking at the big picture, and is planning to pinch Marika from us when he comes off contract at the end of the year. It might be prudent to re-sign Marika now just in case!

Don't agree Plato, one of my probs with Lote was that he very rarely put 100% in. Never tackled with his shoulder, constantly out of position, poor in the air….good luck to him, but if he plays top grade at Souths then they will have to be in big trouble with injuries.

He had a sensational 2011, but injury-ruined 2012 and 13\. He's a publicity magnet and generally well-liked in Australian sports in general. I'm surprised we didn't keep him on in some kind of public relations capacity. Watch how Russell Crowe parades him about, he'll be good for image building at Souths.

All fair comments, but he deserves a chance, and I hope he does well at the Bunnies. Of course the real enemy that NRL players face is time, and they all reach their use by dates, but try telling that to Steve Menzies.

Souths hardly need a publicity magnet with the Burgess show. Maybe recruiting is honing in on Fiji.

Maybe he can keep their mum company and off the TV coverage.
