We not Jokes, This thred is getting there though

We are just a bunch of tragics that are stuggling to see ourselves through the off season. (38 days or so)

For me the forum keeps me going during those office hours

You would think we would have heard more news by now.

Do you think Lote has changed his mind and is hiding from Humpheys?

Where in the World is Lote Tuqiri?

Just wondering, was the news of Humphreys going over to the UK ever written on the official Wests Tigers website? I can't see it anywhere…

Lote Tuqiri - set to join the Wests Tigers?

Lote Tuqiri is set to announce a return to the NRL this season with the Wests Tigers, after finishing his current stint with English rugby club Leicester.

BigPond Sport understands the Wests Tigers will announce they have signed Tuqiri as early as this week.

The dual international, who was sacked by the Australian Rugby Union last year, has been a target of the Tigers for some time but has yet to confirm where he will be playing in 2010.

Tuqiri represented Queensland and Australia during his time in the NRL with the Brisbane Broncos between 1999 and 2002, before playing with the NSW Waratahs from 2003 to 2009.

Our membership drive is really struggling. There's a lot of pressure on the marketing people at the moment.

The CEO has gone to England for a reason. Contracts can be done via fax very easily and this one is not easy. Let's just say you can persuade people better face to face and that's what's got to be done. Pretty sad really.

All you blokes saying it was done 'months ago' are full of it. Honestly, absolutely full of it.

There's a lot of sponsors wanting to know one way or the other what's going on. People need to time to get stuff done and ready for promotions. I know this for a fact as a mate of mine puts a lot of $$$ into this footy club and has done for a long, long time and he's been told that it's not clear / the club is being stuffed around.

The next 48 hours will be crucial. Expect a big announcment….... or..... a "withdrawn offer" statement.

At least it will be over. Good or bad.

After Lote's visit to EuroDisney he decided to have a lazy day at the shops, unfortunately he forgot that it was one of the busiest days of the year and unfortunately for him chaos reigned.

Like I said, it's got to be the next 48 hours or it's not happening.

If it does, you blokes can all thank the CEO for basically not losing his cool and negotiating way beyond what should be expected.

Personally, having a bloke in the team who hasn't exactly been keen to come + has been unprofessional about it all…........I just don't know how I feel about it.

Anyway, it will be over soon good or bad.

You seriously have NO IDEA.

Geez, just gone back through this thread and Simon and co. were all saying Anderson Silva nailed it when he said it would be announced within 24 hours…................................2 months ago.

I've never read such a load of crap in my life.

There's reasons this thing has taken so long.

When membership is down and you can't use a marquee guy for image + when you can't use a guy for ticket sales + the said guy has been umming and arghing about the whole thing for ages, then you know it's not smooth sailing.

Logic 101 should tell you blokes that there's not a single reason legally this couldn't have been announced a month back.

Our membership drive is amongst the worst of all the sydney clubs. We are only 1000 odd up on the Roosters. No way in hell the club holds back this long on a positive anouncment when they are already desperate for sales.

And there's no way they'd be fobbing off legit sponsors who are asking "what's going on?". You don't tell long time club men and sponsors porkies to hide stuff like this.

If we get him, it will all be down to having a **very** patient CEO.

IMO we should have told him to go and jump a month ago. Anyone who's having second thoughts about wearing the Tigers jersey isn't needed.
