Lote Tuqiri is set to announce a return to the NRL this season with the Wests Tigers, after finishing his current stint with English rugby club Leicester.
BigPond Sport understands the Wests Tigers will announce they have signed Tuqiri as early as this week.
The dual international, who was sacked by the Australian Rugby Union last year, has been a target of the Tigers for some time but has yet to confirm where he will be playing in 2010.
Tuqiri represented Queensland and Australia during his time in the NRL with the Brisbane Broncos between 1999 and 2002, before playing with the NSW Waratahs from 2003 to 2009.

@cnx_tigers said:Like I said, it's got to be the next 48 hours or it's not happening.
If it does, you blokes can all thank the CEO for basically not losing his cool and negotiating way beyond what should be expected.
Personally, having a bloke in the team who hasn't exactly been keen to come + has been unprofessional about it all…........I just don't know how I feel about it.
Anyway, it will be over soon good or bad.
