If Lote was seriously not going to come to us, it would have been in the media by now

Looks like things may have changed…...

"He was just days away of signing with the Tigers who said they were 95% complete in the process of signing Tuqiri, before he reportedly rejected their offer in favour of European Rugby. His return to rugby league would have make him the fourth big name rugby union player to return to league in 3 years. He also hasn't ruled out the possibility of playing the European off season in Japanese Rugby. Union[6]."

From Wikipedia page

wikipedia isnt reliable, i mean i could go on there right now and edit that page to say he has no interest in overseas rugby and has already signed.

not so much that but if he has signed with overseas union it would be in the papers today.

people on here need to relax, its gonna happen, i know its partially my fault for leaking information, thats why alot on here are so anxious to see the official announcement.

the only matter i can see delaying the issue is 3rd party agreements but that is a minor thing, but lotes contract is very technical and the NRL are gonna go over it very carefully.

im also unsure on whether lote is gonna play union in the offseason, that could be a problem for the nrl but from what i understand is since he doesnt currently have a NRL contract for the season just gone it wouldnt be a problem as his contract is for 2010 and beyond. so they have no restrictions as he is technically unsigned until round 1.

but from what ive heard he isnt going overseas but i cant give a 100% answer on that

Maybe he wants to look good for a possible Media announcement.
Then again he may just need a hair cut.

If he is back in balmain it could be the demon barber on darling street.

But i think he means he is going to the gym.

While most of us are excited at the prospect of the Tigers signing Tuqiri, quite a few posts in this thread have been deleted due to people constantly straying off topic or having a go at one another. While it may seem that staying on topic is difficult, it really is appreciated.

Hope we have him here next year, he would be a great signing. Imo the club is doing all it can to get him, If we miss out on him it will be through no fault of the club, as they have done every thing they can the ball is in Lotes court. Either way we will have a strong team next year and we are heading in the right direction.

It means Gym.

Tuqiri has signed with Wests Tigers for 3 years].[4] He is also reported to be investigating French Rugby Union clubs Stade Francais and Bayonne[5], however, it emerged that the leading Welsh regional team, the Ospreys, where Scott Johnson is Director of Coaching, emerged as Tuqiri's likely destination.[6]

I found this on the wikipedia page

Yeah but if he is speaking french on his twitter it might be him using cryptic talk saying he is going to france. I bet he loves everyone talking about him like this

Seriously,

**IGNORE WIKIPEDIA**,

ANYONE can update it and none of the sources are recent (they are **ALL** old articles that have been discussed already and say nothing) or relevant to what has been written.

The **ONLY** source that seems to be of any use for us at the moment is Anderson Silva (no pressure there!!!)

Lote Tuqiri reportedly days away from signing with Wests Tigers

Fellas…

Do we really need Lote Tuqiri?

Honestly we have an abundance of good young talent coming through on the wings and at fullback - in my opinion, there is no one better for the job than Jake Mullaney. Why put back his growth into the role, for an older player, whose heart is probably not going to be in it that much, because his wallet isnt lined.

This Tuqiri thing has been dragging on for too long now.

We need to continue to look at forwards, step the offer up for Lima, and forget about Laurie.

Imagine Farah, Marshall, Moltzen, Mullaney, Taumata - all coming at you off the back of Galloway, Cayless, Lima, Ellis and Heighington.

That makes me froth at the mouth.. Its the forward - does anyone agree?
