So Lote has signed with Yawnion for a short stint before heading back to the NRL with the Tigers (speculation). Anderson are you going to give up your source as you have mentioned if this did happen?

Geo I am aware Benji's weaknesses at passing left to right. I believe I started a thread on this point mid-season.

**I prefer a HB that can pass strongly and quickly both ways**. Moltzen cant do that.

Me to…...but I can only think of 2 that do....one plays for North Queensland the other for the Gold Coast.........the rest are born in the time of halves either side of the ruck and therefore have a prefered side........Moltzen can throw a good inside ball...Ive seen it.......

Can Lote pass the ball........those who see him as a centre............

I seriously dont think moltzen will handle halfback full time, this is where the tigers have erred, we need a specialist half back if we are to be any type of threat next year.forget lote, sign a halfback..

Who would you suggest, that is/was available?

So is there any confirmation of the length of the deal he has signed with Leicester?

The original article quoted "short term deal" and also mentioned he would be there until the end of the six nations tournament. Gave the impression he was there to cover injuries and rep duties during that time.

this is good news…

now that he has signed with the UK mob he is allowed to sign with us🙂

Troy

This is not good news. At Lotes age, the wear and tear of this stint won't leave much petrol in the tank for 26 rounds of the NRL.

I would bet that he would expend less "petrol in the tank" bludging on the wing for Leicester than running sand hills here.

well i guess the tigers should have looked into this a few years ago, why didnt they chase carney ?

   Where were you at the begining of last year…..........

Besides another 5/8th ..we got plenty.............

They did, at one stage it was plastered over the back page of the tele that he would be a Tiger, $$$$$$ said different.

im excited about the prospect of lote being here, brings great experence and explosiveness that is sorley needed on our right hand side attack.

Massive call. Didnt we win the 5-6 games whilst Moltzen was at HB? He had numerous line breaks, scored a few tries and had his fair share of try assists. Isnt he only 1 year out of Toyota Cup? Fair go. He was definitely in the Tigers top 4-5 players this season.

I don't know about Taumata as a halfback, from what he's shown he's a very capable 5/8\. He's done some awsome things for the short time he was on the field in FG.

Tigers should've saved some for Thurston! Thurston/Benji combo, WOW.

I have a question.

It seems like Lote has agreed to a deal with us, but hasnt signed due to the NRL rule. So legally, he could back out of the deal at anytime, correct?

What happens if his family love it over there, combined with the higher earnings to be made? He'll drop us at the last minute wont he?

you would think the trouble the club has gone to with 3rd party deals and bent over backwards to secure his services that he would of signed a letter of agreement of some sort that is filed in the "never to be seen by NRL head honchos" cabinet

Ummm…..that's a really good question......I think the answer is ........nothing we could do.....

If he decides to take up an offer from Irish ping pong.....it's bye bye Lote...........

At least we would still have a tad over 200k to spend.......
