Have you seen the publicity Lote has got over this. This game would never have rated a mention in Australia yet it has been shown in all the tv and internet news programs.

Foxsports story even had the headline "Lote led Leicester stun world champions" even though he only played the final 20 minutes and hardly touched the ball

I hope sponsors are taking note

LOL now he's saying he might not return to the NRL and wants to play for Fiji in the World Cup! Where is Mr. Credibility Zero- sorry, anderson? Where's anderson and his sources?

Hopefully he does stay over there. IMO he'll do nothing but destabalise the team if he plays for us.

Hmmmmm, now why would he say that????If it isnt patently obvious then I wont bother explaining.

And as for destablising us,what if it is a done deal and they players know that they are getting a big and fast dual international fullback/centre??

I reckon the players would be as stoked as am I.

I'd be happy for him to stay over in the UK, as his last form I saw in Sydney was him playing for west harbour in a few games, and especially against the no-name backs of Northern suburbs (their stars on wallaby duty) he showed zero penetration against them. We have talented backs, and I would rather the club not make a gamble and pay him top dollar and crossing the fingers that he regains his form of old.

If he regained that form then he would be worth every dollar and I will eat humble pie, but I don't think he will from what I've seen, and I'm sick of the situation. Promote someone else and pay a few thousand of other players contracts early to allow more room for next year with his 200k.

Go play for Fiji and get flogged everytime you play.
I doubt they'll play Lord Lote $1000000 a season.
Waste of time , get someone you wants to play.
I've been to London in Winter, hope Lord Lote enjoys the cold weather.

There's no reason to believe it's a done deal. The only person who was saying this was anderson and now he's vanished. He said he'd name his sources if Lote signed with a rugby club and he hasn't done it. So IMO he has no credibility and there's no reason to think that we've signed Lote. If anderson is proven correct I'll gladly post an aoplogy but right now it looks like the club has been taken for a ride, just like the Rabbitohs were.

How is he wrong…...has it been proven that Lortay isnt coming to us???

IMO evrything points to him coming to us.

Lotto himself says he wants to play Rugby For Fiji next years and he will be playing for Leicester until the end of may !! Isn't that enough for you ???

Also Lotto himself has said he probably wont be playing in the NRL again !! Isn't that enough of a clue for you ??

The man does not want to play a harder game for less money.

We had Gallant, and the Fonz treated him poorly.

Sack the Fonz !!!! :wahoo:

Sack Sheens over this speculation? Get real. The only people who have said anything about LT being signed are the people on this forum. Sheens had some talks with him before he went overseas. Big deal.

Anyway Mullaney would be a much better prospect at fullback. This kid could be anything and will be in the future. Sign him now to a long term contract.

Mullaney will do me as fullback…..more potential than a 30 year old hasbeen....wont cost us as much......and actually wants to play for us

You fellas are just starting to catch on to the reality that Tuquiri is about Tuquiri.

He's got a history of fobbing clubs off. A history of stringing clubs also. A history of BS basically.

**And now he's saying "Maybe I'll play for Fiji in the world cup".**

And don't give me any more BS anbout "he's trying to distance himself". That is total **CRAP.** I've got mates who actually sponsor this club and friends who pour in thousands at auctions, dinners, tables of 12 at every function. A couple have asked management "what's going on" and have recieved no "it's done, wink wink" at all. They've been told it's not done at all. Why is that even important? Because the club can't even get them on board to put $$ in based on a marquee signing. Can't guarantee them anything re 2010 corporate stuff or prmotions (like they ask for with EVERY player). There's tonnes of uncertaintly over an over-paid rugby union winger who last played a real game 8 years ago. A prima dona with a history of stringing clubs along. Even if he comes, he's not worth an off season of uncertainty.

To say a deal is done already is BS. He's going to get huge offers over in the UK + he's already got his manager looking into the "Second nation" rules for the rugby world cup. He will do **what's best for himself** He'll probably come to us only if everything else fails over there and he wants to live back here.

Feels nice to be stringed along, doesn't it?

anderson silva wrote: all my mail was pointing to an early to mid week announcement, then i got word there was a slight problem with one part of the 3rd party agreement that should of been resolved by friday.

but this news today came from no where, like ive stated previously, no where along my grape vine did i hear that UK rugby was an option let alone him being days away from signing with a team over there, so i dont know how much truth there is to this story, because one of my sources is very high in the WT organisation and the other is in the sydney media.

**and i will reveal both names of my sources if tuquiri does sign over there.** I still have it on good authority that he will be playing for us next year but this UK union thing is disturbing

So simon…..i think you are missing the point.
Nobody is claiming Lote isn't coming to WT. Anderson claimed the contract WAS done, THEN claimed there WAS 3rd party payment problems, THEN claimed there WAS going to be an announcement 4 weeks ago,and when that didn't happen, THEN claimed there was going to be an announcement 3 weeks ago, and when that didn't happen and there were talks of Lote heading to Leicester, he then claimed if Lote goes to UK rugby he WOULD spill the beans on his sources. But since then he has gone missing. For someone who has made about 1000 posts in this thread...he can't even find the decency to keep his word to us and then registers himself under another username here.

dont worry too much CT - you have your fitzhenry - you should be happy. leave anderson alone. how's he supposed to know whats going on in Tuqiris mind when even Tuqiri still seems confused a bit.

I mean Sack the Fonz over his shocking ability to recruit players not over the speculation Col. What position do you feel the WT should finish in 2010 to retain Fonzie ??

I agree with Mullaney anyway. I think he must start the year and all the trials in the 1 jersey. But god knows what the Fonz is thinking.

This is the man that plays Jarryd Hayne on the wing and Kidley at fullback !! Spare me God !!!!

My guess is that nothing actually IS signed with Lote, but probably some sort of "gentlemans agreement"in place post his UK Rugby stint to return to WT in NRL.
Problem is,Lote & his management ,from past behaviour, dont exactly fit the "gentleman "category & if he goes gangbusters in UK rugby(& hes off to a good start)he'll chase the bigger bucks over there as he always does.
I think we'll only get him if he has an ordinary season or is injured over there,& then the question is do we really want him…?
Irregardless of what Lote does, iwe need to lock in Mullany to a long term contract asap as he's the future,& a very bright one at that

good post.Mullaney is only slightly built so I would prefer to see him bulk up this offseason and maybe start state cup where his skill will accommodate for his lack of size but i do see him as our next Brett Hodgson if he can keep his head he will be a star and our future. :righton:

I can't wait to bump this thread when Lote runs out in a Wests Tigers jersey next year…
