What a waste of time this guy is, seriously we can use that 400000 grand or however much were willing to pay him and go for Lima, instead of getting storm to pay part of his salary. What a joke, i wish people would have some common sense and realise we need big boppers not guys that want to go to England then come down here to play, if he wanted to play for the WESTS tigers he would have signed already :deadhorse: :imp:

Bug you say hayne at winger is a sheens thing but didnt the master coach bellamy who hasnt won anything at origin level played him there even with billy slater in the other team and stuart our next best fullback out as well so whats that saying.

So bug you must have hayne ahead of slater after only what half a year of good form compare to slater who has basically been the form fullback for 4 years now.

Love this thread 70odd pages of lots of people who have supposebly have inside info that are obviously just try hards.

Conflicting stories again. Sun Teleg - has tuqiri talking about Fiji and thinking about not returning to the NRL. Sun Herald - has Tuqiri, Sheens and Mcdonnel saying in what position they would like Lote playing next year at Wests Tigers. I expect him to run out in a Wests Tigers jersey in 2010.

Sack Sheens over this speculation? Get real. The only people who have said anything about LT being signed are the people on this forum. Sheens had some talks with him before he went overseas. Big deal.

Anyway Mullaney would be a much better prospect at fullback. This kid could be anything and will be in the future. Sign him now to a long term contract.

I agree with Mullaney anyway. I think he must start the year and all the trials in the 1 jersey. But god knows what the Fonz is thinking.

Agree with you. I think that not matter where we finish next year, Mr Sheens has run his course and a new coach is needed.

Lote is a talented player but to be perfectly honest he is not on my radar at this point in time.

His playing traits will help our backline no doubt but honestly I am far more excited about young guys like Ayshford and Pritchard than I am about Lote because they are where the future of our club will be.

That and I have alot to be excited about with the 2010 season other than Mr Tuquiri's eventual destination

I think that there are solid reasons to sack Sheens and get a new coach at the end of season 2010 however I don't see recruitment as one of them.

Morris has been our biggest mistake and that was simply because Sheens kept playing him in the halves. Imo it was a team selection issue not recruitment.

Imo getting Cayless is a huge +ve. We have heaps of backrowers and a lack of props. Getting Cayless changes the balance.

We may get more players as well.

If we do well next year though I might revisit my assesment of getting rid of Sheens.

Cayless has not played NRL for a long time. He has to get through a Steve Folkes off season first. I am keen to see how he goes myself but I am not resting my laurels on him being our saviour. I think a properly coached Daine Laurie would have been of better benefit to us.

Nobody is claiming Lote isn't coming to WT. Anderson claimed the contract WAS done, THEN claimed there WAS 3rd party payment problems, THEN claimed there WAS going to be an announcement 4 weeks ago,and when that didn't happen, THEN claimed there was going to be an announcement 3 weeks ago, and when that didn't happen and there were talks of Lote heading to Leicester, he then claimed if Lote goes to UK rugby he WOULD spill the beans on his sources. But since then he has gone missing. For someone who has made about 1000 posts in this thread...he can't even find the decency to keep his word to us and then registers himself under another username here.

Cayless won't offer anything more than Skando could/will. The halves issue still remains unresolved IMO.

As for Lote, well ando was correct. He will be Tiger in 2010…. A different type though at this stage :wink:

Exactly right mate.

Anderson even claimed they had picked out a jersey, numbered it and had the jersey ready for presentation at the conference.

For them to have had a jersey numbered and ready…..........the deal had to be done.

Now, Lotty is off in the UK playing Rugby.

The whole "it's done" thing has been BS.

Wait and see. You are very confident that he is not coming and that no deal has been done. I am the opposite and expect to see him here. Everything that Lote has said in the last few days in my view validates that a deal has been done.

Time will tell who is right.

Regardless, in my view the club is heading in an excellent direction. Good times ahead.
