1 year extension on a massively reduced rate as a mentor to Koroibete? Not bad imo.

Yeah, i'm not completely against the idea of keeping him for 12 months at a reduced rate. The club's number one aim now has to be to work out a training schedule tailored to Lote's needs. They need to get him real fit. The good news with Lote's injuries were they were largely all different on each occasion, so nothing's reoccurring. However i do not understand the logic in holding on to both Lote and Utai. It just seems a bit unnecessary really. Of the two Lote always had my vote because of his experiences in the game - playing at the highest level in two codes. The fact is he was a quality player and quality players still carry their traits. There's no doubts our younger talent will benefit from him staying one more year.

Keeping Lote isn't without potential problems and there are reservations about it even now. The facts are though if he stays fit, he will be an asset on the field. Given a full pre season he will obviously be fitter, stronger and faster than he was the majority of 2012\. The trick is to keep it that way. And that is where the risk lies. It is where the club and player will be judges on success or failure.

I have heard nothing to indicate that we are keeping Utai? He is off contract and I haven't heard of a re-signing.

Hopefully it stays that way. retaining both would be a dead end decision. Not to mention, brain dead.

So … Have we actually re signed Tiquiri ? Bloke at work says we have, but I don't recall it ever being made official.

Not that a contract means much any more.

Lote is dilussional…he hasnt played a good game in 3 years, has collected a paycheque whilst either being out injured or playing poorly for that period....and he wants to play on next year?

If this clown isnt given the arse I'll stand rooting.
