Lui not a first grader

lui is the most embarrising player in nrl history awful in every way nothing to offer at all he can go with the coach

Why they kept Miller out of the game so much baffles me.

Even Gould said every time he touches the ball you think something good is going to happen.

Give Lui a stint in the lower grades, give Miller a crack at the 7\. Much better organiser, much better kicker, much bigger heart.

Lui is a good half back, but is in some poor form. If we had a halfback that could come in and take control then a stint in NSW cup would be worth it. Lui has a good natural running game. Like most halfbacks his defense isn't up to scratch.
Lui stopped playing well when moltzen came back, maybe he is buckling under pressure.
If you guys want to just throw miller into the deep end the same will happen, he will stop developing. If he really is going to be our next best halfback, let him learn how to control the game through NYC and a season of NSW cup

another option could be to put farah at half and Fulton at hooker- maybe?

I thought about that too, then realised at most other clubs robbie probably would be struggling to hold down a first grade spot at the moment, he is way off his game, his service out of dummy half is so slow it is stifling our running game, the slow sideways shuffle across the ground is not dragging defenders out of the line anymore I don't know if he is carrying a injury but there is no zip in that dart from dummy half.

Lui is a dud!

We only started to look remotely threatening when Farah got in at first. When Farah put him through that hole… ANY other half would have scored. He is amazingly slow! 3 Tackles in... he then kicks it.... a GOOD player (regardless of form) would not have done that.

He's pathetic. I am sick of seeing him in this side!

Hell when Ellis got in the clear he couldn't even catch him to support!

He has a thousand things wrong in his game imo

1\. Can't tackle to save his life and just grabs at players
2\. When we are sliding in defence, he has not change of pace is turned around too easily
3\. Has NO running game (Kimmorley in later years) so every side knows he's going to pass the ball and not run it (hell when he does, he only makes 20m)
4\. NO FRIGGIN PACE! You cannot play in the halves and be slow! Simple....

Lui wasn't the only problem tonight though... for me 4 problems in tonight's game

1\. Backline is FAR TOO SLOW! (Ryan, McKinnon, Ayshford and Brown)... won't out run anyone. Ayshford has the ability to break tackles due to his uncanny strength, but the others don't offer much.

2\. Lui is not a half's ..........

3\. Sheens is an idiot, his decisions are so confusing and baffling.

4\. We cannot win without Benji... tonight showed this as clear as day!

While Miller didn't do much and looked a little shakey in defence, we should stick this kid with Benji and see where is goes. If it is too risky to try this so late in the season...

Farah to 7, Fulton to 9\. Simple.

Farah showed up our so called "best" half at the club tonight. Did more in 20mins then Lui's done all season.

Also… can someone explain to me what Lui was doing for the first Dogs try? I was furious! We defended amazingly for so long only for that moron to come flying out of the line.... to what?

There was no tackle to be made (since there was no player)
There was no pass to intercept....

Please.. someone explain... I am at a loss.

Can't explain, it was a mystery, maybe he saw someone there that the rest of us didn't see :astonished:

I think Sheen's EGO is too big for him to ever admit he made a mistake with Lui. He has had one amazing game in two years, and most of the other ones have been horrible.

im usually againt bagging a player so harshly, but i think Lui is not up to the mark, he has had some good games, but his bad games are too regular and too bad.

I think we should start to bring Miller through slowly (dont want to damage him by making him do to much to soon) with Moltzen coming in at Half in the mean time

Unfotunately I can't see Sheens dumping him which will make it a very bitter pill to swallow if he is really going to the Broncos.

I would take Moltzen and Miller over Lui.

The other clubs are on to him and know that they will always get him to come in on nobody leaving an overlap. State cup for this bloke…21 eh? plays more like Kimmorley in his last season.

Isn't a halfback only as good as the team around him? He has a lot of potential, which has been demonstrated previously. When the experienced players comes back, so will his confidence & expertise.

What games have you been watching, your bloody blind mate, he is hopeless.

This a supporter revolt! Lui is the reason that the backline is impotent. The forwards are getting go-forward only for Lui to run sideways and put the backline on the back foot :unamused:

I'd exhaust the Moltzen option and let Miller grow in NYC before committing Miller to the weekly challenges of NRL. That said, i'd drop Moltzen after a month if it didn't work and bring back Miller for the long haul. Either way, Miller should be locked up in contract as we will never flourish without a specialist halfback. Lui plays like a 5/8 at halfback and will never make it at 1/2 without Sheens' charity at the expense of being the NRL's laughing stock for gifting oppositions a virtual 10 metre hole to run at every game.

Easier still, sack Sheens and let a new coach do the obvious and drop Lui.

x3 .. i really think that miller could be something special playing beside benji. 18 is young, but if you have the talent then you are good enough for first grade

Lui was beyond terrible last night. He is talented but his confidence has gone down the drain. He is moving slowly which is stifling our attack, and he is a huge liability in defence.

Only he would know why he has gone backwards this year but if the rumours are true that he is going north of the border for next season that might have something to do with it. And if might get a fullback swap for him into the bargain I say bring it on.

:deadhorse: Lui has had his chance this year at No.7, its time Moltz is given a good go. Early on in the year everyone stated that he needed game time. Well he has been given enough game time. He beats Lui in all areas - speed, defence, agility, kicking and his fitness appears better. Benji and Moltz are a great fit and with young Miller coming off the bench would make it stronger also. Come on Tim give Moltz a good go!

Not even a speed hump in defence. More like an automatic door where it just opens up and lets the person stroll through.
