I understand he's still young, but weve seen almost a full season of him know & Im prepared to conclude that in the absence of a dramatic improvement ,he isnt going to make it in 1st grade at WT.
His attitude in defence is apalling for a 1st grader,& maybe its a clash of styles with Benji or simple lack of ability, but he adds very little value in attack.
Appreciate Motzen is in the background who looks like he will succeed, but we need to start looking at other contingency options at no 7 for 2011

Starting to lean this way as well.

My KPI which is not being met is - Running at the line.

For me thats the only redeeming feature of Luis game.

Clearly not the answer - but we don't have any alternatives.

I think he will end up being a very good player, but right now his defence is diabolical and is costing us almost a try every match, and he's having minimal influence in attack (whether this is due to the structure with Robbie and Benji taking control is another point altogether).

It wasn't a great effort for the first try but if Lote had have come in a few centremetres instead of shaking hands with the touchie he wouldn't have scored.

Agree though that on present form Lui is not up to the standard needed. We'd probably be better served by someone with a smart kicking game, good defence, and who just passes the ball to Marshall, Farah, Fulton etc.
