People have missed the point of this post - it was never about lets sack Lui and replace him next week with Miller - what i was trying to ascertain was who people thought was the better long term option at half.

Now Miller may turn out to be better, who knows, but he isnt better than Lui now.
Im gonna go out on a huge limb here, and say in 2 years time, the best combo we may see is:
7.Lui
6.Marshall
9.Miller
Thats a huge call sirro - my bet is on \\
6\. Marshall
7\. Miller
9\. Farah
13\. Lui - with a bit of improvemenyt in his defense

Here is someone I agree with!!! Lui in my opinion is a lightweight lock with some ball skills, in the mould of Liam Fulton. If he spends all his time from now learning to defend and getting his shoulder into tackles then he will be a great asset. At the moment, I think he is nothing more than a rugby union style half who fights his way out of confrontation to stand one pass away from the action. I don't think he has the 'kahunas' to order the big guys around, or the vision to know where to go anyway.
@Adman said:I'm sorry, but the differenCe between 1st and NYC grades is an ocean. Lui is the man. Really tiresome these threads about people wanting to drop our (finally) established half for some kid in the lower grade. Took lui a whole season to find his feet and get settled in the side. You think miller is going to come into first grade and handle it better than Lui? The team needs to learn consistancy together, stick with the available team and persist. No team will play fluently by chopping and changing positions every week.

The threads not about dropping players Adman, you've read too much into it. It's simply about what people are seeing between the two main no.7 options. Yes one's playing under 20's and the others playing NRL, there's a huge difference. Most people here probably watched Lui also playing under 20's a couple of years ago so comparisons are pretty valid I reckon.

Im a Lui fan but reckon long term Miller will be the champion.
