Our strike weapons are our 9 and Bateman...I was at that game at the SCG and he also had one Benji Marshall in the centres. We also had a brief successful period where Teddy was scoring tries at will. Halves need strike weapons to take some pressure off them.
It's not good enough.
I've been harping on for years now how we need to recruit genuine centres.
Tupou is a threat but they often go to the other side... Tupou, to me looks like he could he an Izzy Folau like player. We should he kicking to him and letting him use his leap and physicality to compete for the ball and attempt for a try.
Naden has been good but that's 1 or 2 out of 5... as they've only opted to play Tupou in the last round...
I've got my thoughts on how to improve this but to keep it simple:
1 Kaeo Weekes ... Will Kennedy... Welsby
2 Jnr Tupou
3 Kayal Iro
4 Brent Naden
5 Staines
I'm hoping Feledy kicks on because from what I've seen of him, he strikes me as a Matt Cooper like centre
