Luke Brooks #167

Brooks bullet passing at Nadens head when there was an overlap is the kind of shit you expect from a teen half on debut

But nah it's Specifically something you'd always expect from brooks

The problem is he can't think under pressure.

You could see it there.

Short, soft, ball to Naden = try

OR

Long, high, cut out, to Stains = try

Luke sees both...can't decide...and the result is a cut out height pass to Naden's head.

A rookie's error...in year 10.

Remember all the abuse and crap Chris Lawrence used to cop along the lines of, flipper hands, hands like feet and so on when he was on the receiving end of Luke's bullet passes and hospital passes.

So much for all the basics at training like 200 passes, catching the ball, playing the ball etc.

Hopefully it all comes together eventually and we start to see the exciting style of play that we were promised minus all the errors.

Am I being a bit harsh or premature if was to ask if Tommy Talau and Shawn Blore are really unlucky with injuries or are they just made out of tissue paper.

I wish both of them well but I just have question marks around their durability.

Blore was only a hia wasn't it,players will be failing that all season with the crackdown on head injuries

Blore was a HIA, so that was just unlucky.

Talau I thought was not ready, even in the trials. You can't miss 18 months and then be in the NRL off a trial and a half. He needed a month in reggies.

Unfortunately, he will prob be out a while now.

On the bright side, Sheens will not
hesitate to drop him, unlike previous
coaches before him. Can't believe he
hasn't been dropped to cup in his
whole career. Might have fixed him
up maybe years ago, but oh well..

Sheens is the worse for not dropping players.

Maybe if he messes up a few more
times (which I hope he doesn't for the
sake of the team) Benji can get in his
ear and say "listen old man, it's not
working" or something. Probably
wishful thinking though, I know lol

Brooks is our 7 until he's at another club. No one is dropping him. No ego will give up on him.
