Luke Brooks #167

When you are looking purely at statistics, which is what I was doing, then of course 37.5% doesn't look too bad.

I would not have thought that the overall percentage was that high when you consider the team's win rate of only around 16% last season and currently about 20% this season, results which would have brought the overall average down considerably.

The point I was attempting to make was that if we had that higher winning percentage carry on to last season and this current season, we probably would win twice as many games last season and would have an extra win or two up our sleeve this season.

What this basically means is that we don't get the spoon last season and we are not coming last this season and are only a win or two out of the 8 with a side showing signs of improvement.

Might have to put that on a T-shirt.

What size do you take? Could probably send you one.
If my Aunty had balls she’d be my uncle…A 37% win rate is awful no matter how you try and spin it.

Doubt theres 27 of you.
There are still a few on here, not sure how they spin it try make him sound good enough to re-sign though, he has done not a thing to warrant another contract at any dollar amount. We have been round and round for 10 years waiting for him to be the player we want, the wait can't go on any longer if we have designs on capitalising on our current good forward pack

What’s the alternative though? We need 2 halves plus depth. Brooks fits in somewhere on half his current money unless there’s a half coming through (I got no idea with that) and snag 2 quality first grade halves. Just sign Hunt and Johnson. They compliment each other. I’m all in.

Tigers would be in the top 6 like that!

Brooks would be the perfect reggies player to bring in if there were injuries. Should be nowhere near a first grade pitch otherwise. Hunt and SJ would make this team top 5 in an instant. Its pretty obvious to all but paws and Earl that the Tigers weakness is points = a shit halfback.

Is that realistic scenario in the current halfback market?

Hope he has a cracker.... It may be very fortunate it just happened to be at LO.... or it could be a nightmare

I do recall a game there think it was an important one... Few years back... We got hammered... ... He was interviewed at full time on touchline in front of the main stand and he was copping it left right and center.. It was hard to watch and brought home to me these guys are human, I get as frustrated with our impotent attack as anyone but I know he's trying his best it's just not enough... I blame sheens for dragging this long term slow mo peeling off the band aid.... Brooks needs a new club new coach new everything
Just needs a new position

He might just do that if given a chance, because we know Brooks can't do it, so getting Flanagan will be at least trying something different, trying Brooks again is just insane
Flanagan , careful what you wish for, punted by Roosters in the halves and then struggling at the dogs.
Flanagan ain't the answer mate, spin the wheel again for another off contract 7, anyone but brooks right
