Unlike most supporters who don’t like him, I was hoping it wouldn’t come to this. You didn’t see this coming?
For once he has a pack to help him out.

He tried to leave us twice during this contract.Unlike most supporters who don’t like him, I was hoping it wouldn’t come to this.
For once he has a pack to help him out.
Just read this on another forum, clarifying LB salary over the past 4 years:
"......Luke Brooks, for all the misinformed and judgemental, Luke is not on 1.1 million, Luke signed a 4 year contract extension at 750k a season, mismanagement by the club, back ended his contract, meaning that he was paid less for the first 3 years and the financial discrepancy would be paid out in full on the final year of the contract."
And to the grand final last yearWhile getting paid close to 800k, Moses took a top 4 side to the spoon in his second season at Parra....
Facts often overlooked here.
This is common knowledge.Just read this on another forum, clarifying LB salary over the past 4 years:

He stated that he would be selfish with his next contract and wanted to play finals. That ain’t happening here for a while.
Nothing stopping Gus signing him up then.![]()
'What do you want him to do?': Phil Gould blasts Wests Tigers for treatment of Luke Brooks — Wide World of Sports
Phil Gould has come out swinging at the Wests Tigers over their treatment of Luke Brooks as the halfback prepares to test himself on the open market.apple.news
Gus sums it up well.
He took his team to the grand final while Brooks was sitting at home watching on TV.Sounds like you watch Parramatta games with tissues handy. How’s he go in the finals with great players all around him?
While both players were on the same money, I know which club got the better deal, and it was the slimeys. He took his team to the grand final while Brooks was sitting at home watching on TV.
It was a person on the supporters' page; I think from memory, the comment was reaponding to someone who was disparaging about things generally - it's all about context, I suppose. This is common knowledge.
Who is the big noter thinking he is breaking this news to the “misinformed and judgemental”?
Could be right.I seem to remember he was upgraded from 750k to around 900k which was back ended.
Being skeptical but just like when he went into bat for Madge, Gus doesn’t want tigers as competition for contractsNothing stopping Gus signing him up then.
Plenty of opportunities that’s why I was arguing our offer was offensive.Halves needs
Penrith - none
Brisbane - will soon be looking for a Adam Reynolds replacement
Melbourne - none
Souths - Jury out on Illias in finals
Cronulla - Moylan out of form and likely to be replaced, jury out on Trindall
Warriors - none until SJ is done
Canberra - need a five eighth
Manly - none if they re-sign Schuster
Parra - cloud over Brown
Gold Coast - in the market
Dolphins - young halves that look fairly settled, may consider an upgrade to elite
Roosters - in the market with Pearce rumoured
Knights - in the market with current crop inconsistent
NQ - Rumoured to be shopping halves
Bulldogs - can’t lock down a partner for Burton, do have a young gun on the books
Tigers - no answer at all
Stgeorge- Stocks ok with youth and experience, unless Hunt leaves.
You can see why Brooks will test the market.
Probably has been testing the market for months - no suitors perhaps? So has brooks straight out told the club he won’t be here next year, surely he hasn’t said he wants to test the market he’s been able to do that for months?
Boo hoo … at $1.2mil I don’t buy your sorry tale … he’s playing NRL, not on the set of ‘Coming To America’He tried to leave us twice during this contract.
He stated that he would be selfish with his next contract and wanted to play finals. That ain’t happening here for a while.
If we landed him a quality partner, and we certainly tried, he may have stayed. Our failure to secure one was likely the catalyst for moving on and from there only a lucrative contract would have kept him here. We didn’t come to the party.
He had to go.
Nice rant.Boo hoo … at $1.2mil I don’t buy your sorry tale … he’s playing NRL, not on the set of ‘Coming To America’
… (hand clap) .. “wipers”
Adam Reynolds doesn’t require an expensive shadow!
You must be ‘tuckered’ out … I can hear Mummy telling you to go to sleepNice rant.
Does that come with a side dish of understanding?
Sign him up then Gus, your lot need a half the supposed caliber of Brooksy go for it, sign him up!![]()
