Luke Brooks #167

As awfully written as this is, it still deserves comment
There is no longer a competition between the WTF and Brooks. He lost as did we all.
Today marks a new era for him and in 2 weeks it’ll be a new era for us. He played pretty well today and looks to be settling in nicely with the Manly backline that has lots of points in them.
It remains to be seen whether we’ll be better off without him. I’d suggest we will be.
this seems a bit too reasoned and sensible for forum chat....

That move he put on to open it up for Turbo was noteworthy....
Happy he decided not to waste his life on the WT's,

If only it was that easier for us all....

Not a bad way to waste your life owns a multi million dollar home before he is 30 -

He waited 11 years to find his DCE..WTs are still waiting on one btw..and was always going to go well as a complimentary pairing..until DCE:s 35yo body breaks down and Brooks is on his own..maybe with Schuster!!
That one wont end well
Then they will see the Brooksy. Can’t wait for the classic “it’s my team now” article.

Surely there's a fairly long list on NRL players in the game for 11 years that own their own home?
I'm pretty sure there's 15 other clubs where his time would have been much more productive...

History will never know.

Another tigers star sitting in the dressing rooms in Vegas with a smile on his face
Heavily criticised here and now starting 5/8 partnering Cherry Evans in the season opener
Not good enough for us but ok for Manly
Pity would have gelled with Luai 2025
I hear what you’re saying, both Sheens and Benji wanted him and Pascoe was a huge fan, so who wanted him out?

Once they pick the Doormat, They stay the Doormat....

I'm fanging to see who's this years Doormat,
And who's solely accountable how ordinary we are...
(Probably still Brooks knowing this joint)

- I'm taking bets there might be a few Sezer posts deleted from the last few months
(If they haven't been already)
my money is on To'a.

Remember all those years the narrative was "it wasn't Lukes team as Robbie was there", "It wasn't Lukes team because Benji was there" and then when he was on his own it was "finally his time", "his time to step up", it was "his time to take control and play his game". pfffff

13 years of pure shit for the Tiges no matter what role he was handed on a silver platter and protected for over a decade. He was complete shit when he wasn't in the limelight and it wasn't his team, and played equally as shit for a couple of years when it was "his team".

Glad he has moved on, zero loss to the Tigers as he did nothing and would have continued to do nothing this season if he was here.

Even a turd can be polished at surface level. One swallow doesn't make a summer. Lets see how well he plays for the entire season, or god forbid he is put in a position where he has to be the main playmaker for Manly. The hilarity and finger pointing at Manly fans will ensue.

Maybe we’ve just been a shit club, and now he’s actually at a quality club. Just spitballing.

Sorry guys, but I have been saying it fir years that brooks doesn’t have a brain. Now he has DCE and turbo to control the game. He’s third fiddle which suits him to the ground! Was always going to play well in that arena when no brain is required.
Funny though how the commentators once bagging him out as useless and not worth $400,000 now waxing lyrical about how good he is. Watch them now attack us on how it’s our fault he played poor.

That's twice now I've agreed with you. One of us is changing, not sure who.

Who was the club without a brain for a decade that didn’t realise this? How did they not figure that out?

Which commentators?

You’ve already said Brooks has no brain. If so, the club can’t be blameless for not utilising him the right way.
