Thanks Nelson. That's interesting, I'm surprised he's ahead of Maloney, Moses, foran, keary and cleary.

What I find interesting is looking at the stat for each of those players in the context of the quality of complete teams. So in Luke brooks case, considering the other players around him, and comparing that to the higher ranked halves and the players they have around them, he doesn't look that bad.

13\. Corey Norman 38 25 0.657894737
14\. Anthony Milford 49 31 0.632653061
15\. Luke Brooks 38 23 0.605263158

So, 15 out of 32 or so halves? I don't think many on here would have guessed he had better stats than Moses. Considering the class of his outside men, and the way we fed so much attack through Teddy, I'd say it was a strong result.

I've never doubted his ability to put a player in a hole. His problem is more frequently trying to force a chance that isn't on.

Definitely needs to pull his finger out in 2018\. Hopefully with a pack that will go forward rather than backwards he'll have a strong 2018 season.

In the past i have made negative comments about Brooks being Gun Shy ! Well it time for him to shine and i hope for his future that he trains well and hit the ground running, controlling and becoming the player that we all want to cheer for.

Will people stop bringing up his debut game? He played against a Dragons team with literally more than half their first grade squad out. Anybody would've looked good against them. He's played better games since.

He had a great year in 2014, but then regressed with Jason Taylor. Certainly his time to shine now. And if he doesn't then it might be time to look elsewhere.

We will be a very different team next year. We have a strong forward rotation + an experienced 5/8 who can competently defend. Brooks has excelled when he has had an experienced half who doesn't try to overrule him. Say whatever you want about Anasta but Brooks looked like the next Andrew Johns when he played along side him.

Peeps are way too harsh on Luke…...the only thing off in his game is his 5th tackle kicking.

Once he gets that right he will be a top class half.

I think that the options he takes are off but heaps of halves take poor options. Morgan is the best at the moment for mine because he takes the right option consistently.

I think Brooks can become a top half but it's a line ball call. He isn't anywhere near as bad as a lot of this forum thinks.
