Luke Brooks has the YIPS!

Jan 27th 2023:

"As for Brooks, Sheens said he and assistant Benji Marshall had enjoyed working with him, but stopped short of declaring they would be the pair to finally unlock his full potential. 🤣

“Ask me that question in a month’s time or during the season,” Sheens said"

Another one for 'Ask the boss'

Sheens and Benji surely realise Brooks in not a 7... otherwise why go so hard after Moses. They must have another 7 target they should be trying their best to get right now.
I thought Brooks would be great as a running, eyes up 6 but doubt that now as well. For the benefit of Brooks, Club and members we need to let him go.
He actually gets worse when he tries to play eyes up footy. He has to play very structured with simple short passes and bombs otherwise he screws it up.

It can force sportsmen like Golfer Ian Baker-Finch into retirement. Your point is correct in so much as Luke has been OFF for a number of years. If the coach and the club feel they need to play him because of his Tom Brady like salary then play him in a position where he does NOT need to think. Just run Forrest just run (I mean Brooksy).
G'day @DUCK I reckon there is every chance you could just be đź’Ż correct.

I've been mainly pro Brooks till this last game.

I had to give Kayo away as I couldn't afford it so I'm back to listening to live Wests Tigers on the ABC and watching on c9.

After listening to Friday's match then reading the posts on here, I became anti Brooks.

But...after watching the 1st half of the replay I reckon your theory about Brooksie could be spot on.
It's obvious he's trying things, but they just aren't working.

Just by coincidence, as I was reading your post, Georgy Girl by the Seekers was playing on Spotify.
If you listen to the words in this song, I reckon a lot can be said about Brooks just as much as Georgy, in that he has lost confidence in his game as he doesn't have the player beside him who brought out the best in him, Mitch Moses.
Moses without doubt brought out the best in him.

When he lost his best mate/playing partner he lost confidence like anyone does when they lose a best mate or wife bestie or husband bestie.
Brooksie is still the same good person with the same ability he displayed at the start of his NRL career and when he won 1/2 back of the year. He just hasn't had that 'best mate' to consistently bring out his best even though lots have been tried.

Instead of dreaming of someone you could be Brooksie, running around the field so fancy free, it's time for jumping down from the shelf as there's another Brooksie deep inside, so bring out all those skills you hide and oh what a change there would be for Wests Tigers to see.

Wake up Brooksie boy, it's time to change those dowdy feathers and fly.
Stop window shopping and buy, into your current playing partners.

It's now all up to you to show the Real Luke Brooks if you want to be a part of the rejuvenation of Wests Tigers.
And you had better do it pretty damn soon, otherwise just bloody rack off.

Sheens is probably still trying to work out if it should be 5 years at 1.2m or 7 years at 1.1m.
Although to be honest i am begining to wonder if it is the CLUB who keep on insisting we keep him and not every coach who has been consistently overuled,to be honest the CLUB is that dumb it could be the case.
They’re big numbers, that’s only happening if he goes fine dining after golfing with the big boss.
I think Sheens must have a plan to make sure that doesn’t happen?
