Just did some mathematics on brooks and hastings for anyone on this site to see, people are defending brooksy and rubbishing hastings this season brooks has played 16 games, he has run a total of 1128 mtrs and missed 71 tackles. hastings on the other hand has run a total of 1872 mtrs & missed 25 tackles but only played 14 games, 2 less than brooks, and it made no difference what position he played hastings stats far outstrip brooksy even at lock his run mtrs good and only missed 1 tackle.

Yawn - nothing you provided suggested he is a good defensive half if anything it highlighted more the point he isn’t. Just because other halves aren’t doesn’t dispute the argument that Brooks is a good defensive half - he just isn’t.

sure he makes more tackles but lets look deeper into that because it’s clear teams target him over AD, Hastings and whoever else is playing because he is a liability.

Brooks has moved positions across the park and yet his tackle effectivness hasn’t improved. Teams target him because players either side are drawn in which then creates space and options.

His defensive rate regardless of his position is double his other halves partner (has been last 4yrs) & his effectiveness at Hooker hasn’t changed.

He just isn’t a good defensive halfback.

I would like to know whether have WT scored more tries down our right edge, or that we have conceded more down our left edge when Brooks is at marker and/or not able to get back there after chasing down a break? The latter would not be kept in normal statistics, but it must be close if one went back through video of the season.

Whilst at it, as I have heard such in the pre-game commentary, can anyone more in the know provide such information on the breakdown, as to through which corridors (our left, middle and right) WT has been scoring our tries this season please?

I think it is self explainatory . Read the post & stats again . I think you may have made an erroneous statement that was not backed by the facts. While every one is entitled to an opinion its best not to make statements just because you heard someone else say it .Dont believe me just cause I said it , all the facts are on Zero tackle for you to read yourself.
