Very pleasing to see that he has been rewarded for an excellent year.Hopefully a contract extension will be announced very soon

Forgot to say Congrat RTS. Great fullback, captain,Great player. Wish we were thinking when Rorters were not and Warriors were. Stuff teddy.

Hmmm, would of been cheaper to resign this season than chase Nathan Cleary.

I will say though just as impressive as him coming third and getting the half back of the year was the Volume of the cheer he received as he polled 3 points two games in the row to be the outright leader after round 22.

It was pleasing to hear. I think he is well admired and liked in the rugby league community.

Well done Brooksy!!!

As much as I’d love you to stay a tiger your career I’d also understand if you decided to move on to a club that isn’t unwavering in its support towards you.

And no I have no inside information on this.

Well done brooksy, if we can get you a forward pack that can go forward for 26 rounds I’m sure you’ll do even better next year.

Few ovens warming a pie or two for a humble late night snack right about now.

Hey, let’s not go crazy. We’ve been told for weeks that halfbacks this year have been low on form.

Well earned. Still think our club management stifled his career.

If he was at most other clubs he would be covered in rep honours, the kid can play.

Grats Brooksy, great effort!
Well deserved.

Well said. Probably could have taken out the whole thing playing behind a stronger forward pack.

Great effort by Brooks and was our best player this year by some distance. 3rd in the DMs was a big effort, being a standout in a team of battlers always helps you accumulate points but it also hindered his chances when the team started to falter at the end of the season in a couple of must win matches.

Time to stitch him up for a few more years and find some quality forwards to lay the platform

I’d love to see the WTs get a top shelf lock. Marty or JDB. Someone with good carries and an offload the can still control the ruck is where we need to spend the money. Either that or an impact prop.
Brooks will still be on $550k next year. Don’t think many halfbacks earn less than that.

This is great news. He looked to be one of the top halves in the game this season so I'm not surprised.

HALFBACK OF THE YEAR: LUKE BROOKS

David Campbell

Four years after he claimed the rookie of the year award, Luke Brooks has claimed a second Dally M gong.

The Tigers halfback experienced the best season of his short career, fulfilling the prodigious potential that has lurked within him for so long.

His rise and improvement under Ivan Cleary played a big part in the joint venture’s revival.

Runners up: Mitchell Pearce, Ash Taylor, Daly Cherry-Evans, Cooper Cronk

Congratulations Luke. I am really glad that the Dally M judges are much better judges than some on this forum. What happened to Nathan Cleary? Hundreds of pages on this forum and he is not even a runner-up.

Well deserved and more impressive is what got him to halfback of the year, much improved game management rather than individual moments.

NC had a stack of weeks off due to injury?…But then again so did Pearce.

Hopefully Luke re-signs long term, it'd be great to have one true club man out of "The Big Four"

Glad Luke won - deserved it.

I think Cleary being out injured for 8+ weeks didn't help his points tally.

Put the boot in, but let's be fair and honest.
