Mehhhhh

Wake me up if and when he goes to the next level. Until that happens none of us know if this is a good signing or not.

X2

He’s milked a good income so far …
Needs to show a heap more !

Good news deal was done weeks ago. Some of you worry too much. It’s now up to young Brooks to deliver. Don’t underestimate the work Madge has done with halves ie Reynolds, Cooper Cronk. Madge is a better tactician than Cleary and will train them harder.

Dally M half of the year.
At 750k a season.
In the origin frame last year and was our best player last year.
Mmmm wonder what else he needs to do?
I guess that next level is different for everyone but I thought he went he went to that next level last year.
Had 4 different 6s
5 different 9s
And 4 different 1s
Around him, hopefully a lot more consistent team chosen for 2019 might help him reach your standard.

That next level is the one where you dont need to offer excuses for him.

Rest my case.

That's the spirit Brooksy, Get that up ya Roosters, you thought you had him for 2020\. $3 million over 4 years, that's $750k a year for the Dally M halfback of the year, probably far less than what the Roosters would of offered him. Knowing the Roosters they probably would of offered him $900k a season with about $350k extra a year in brown paper bags.

It does say well north of $3 million a year for 4 years, so it probably isn't anything like $750k a year

Wish the club had used something like the following to announce his signing.

It's absolutely fantastic news. Kinda surprised his deal is less than 800k.
Next level (for me) is not only playing consistently good footy but also developing his kicking game and game management.

Yep, probably around $800K a year, maybe more, who knows. Happy he signed, It would have been tough to take if he left.

Which unsigned 7 would you rather have under contract for next 5yrs?

Not really interested in going back and forth. He’s re-signed long term. His supporters are having the last laugh tonight.

You don't have to GNR. Not to people that know the game anyway.

I agree though, we really needed to sign him after Cleary didn't want to come and Johnson signed at the sharks, we are hopefully on an upward trajectory now

Really!!!
Maybe you could read it as a subtle compliment to a bloke who won the Dally m half of the year with the most inconsistent spine.
But you seem to be a glass is half empty type of bloke.
So have it your way.
