How does Brooks perform under pressure?
The answer... not very good.
Brooks goes well when he runs the ball against teams we are dominating and has also improved his defence greatly since last year.
He’s not a dud, but he’s nowhere near the top of the pecking order.
Would any NSW supporter want him to be the “go to guy” in the last few minutes of Origin when you needed a miracle ... don’t think so.

Brooks plays well when the forwards are dominating the ruck. Example last week. If the NSW forwards are dominating. A combo of Brooks/Keary could really cut loose. If Qld are win the ruck then Reynolds could get NSW into the game through his kicking game. Brooks defence is better than Reynolds though.

@bigsiro - to be honest the halves aren't that good at the moment. DCE, Morgan, Hunt & MIlford. Are these guys much better than Brooks.

I know Brooks cops it but I think if you watched these guys play every week you'd see they have holes in their game as well.

Brooks probably isn't ready for that role yet and he does need to work on his game but compared to the halves in the comp he is doing a good job.

And this is why people are happy for him to be dropped to better focus his attention to such things or more directly moved on for someone better who can take us to not the finals but win a premiership.

He may play well tonight, may have a good back end of the season but in the end he is a poor mans Ben Hunt
