Just look at the stats . In a beyond dismal team he’s leading the league in the key metric that everyone crucified him for last year .

Also first reciever , in a league where block plays , lead to a large percentage of tries . And who passes it last usually ? The fullback , centre or 6 .

Honestly , I feel like I’m taking crazy pills ! It’s the equivalent of someone off the street walking up to me , and stating I’m not doing my job right , because they watched me for 30 mins prior .

And then if you point out , “how if you can’t understand how a basic set of 6 operates , how can you be so critical of our half , on things that you clearly know nothing about “ then you’re being a know it all , or condescending , or gate keeping .

But I’ll say it once again , if you can’t understand basic strategies like working to the goal posts for a kick , ( which you very well might ) then how can you have the audacity to say someone is good or bad , or indifferent , about something more complex , like game management , or controlling the team ?

I feel sorry for Brooks. I don’t think there is anything he can do within his ability to survive the negative media and discontent supporters/sponsors to survive remaining at the club. Madge has put his reputation and career on the line in showing his support for Brooks to lead this team into the finals this year, and regardless of how “solid” he has played, looks like he will be the first scapegoat. It’s looking like the club will throw the baby out with the bath water.

It certainly wasn’t Brooks’ fault Wests Tigers lost that game but it is absolutely on him that Wests Tigers didn’t win either.

That literally makes no sense. Lost and "didn't win" are the same thing. Either it's his fault, or it isn't.

If Luke Brooks isn't responsible for losing, then he can't be simultaneously responsible for not winning. It's just not physically possible.

I think he means that the loss cannot be entirely blamed on Brooks. But Brooks was definitely to blame for robbing the team the opportunity of winning by folding under pressure with the game on the line by dropping a simple kick off

Firstly it wasn't a simply kickoff, I sat right behind it, Kyle Feldt kicks them like Pat Richards used to and it swirled and moved late.

Secondly, ok Brooks dropped the football once. What about every other bloke who dropped the footy the other 79 minutes? They robbed us too, correct? Nofo on that kick restart, Stefano mid-field. Jimmy Jet trying to get around the side and getting tackled into touch. Liddle's forward pass. Also the missed tackles, Joffa missing that young fellow taking a crash ball, nobody cleaning up Drinkwater, Nofo letting Hammer get on his outside etc etc

Only a madman points the finger at a single player for a last-minute hail mary, when the whole team played like busteds for about 60 minutes.

Brooks simply fails in the big moments. Just another example 79th minute all on the line. Disappointmenting.

The game was over. Payten put it all over Maguire. Souths will murder us if we go in with five hitups, no offloads and a kick.

yep - we actually looked like we could play the game in that second half against the Cowboys. I would much prefer to watch them get beaten whilst trying new and different things than see them slaughtered trying to play the boring percentage, hit ups game.
