Yes Brooks played well last night and kudos to him and the team as a whole.

However I want to ask the question, why we WT organised last night vs the disorganisation so often evident in our general play this season. Why were we organised and who did the organising?

If we can stay organised more often I think we can win more than we lose.

I cannot help thinking that the Doueihi-Mbye swap was more about Brooksy not being over called by Doueihi. The removal of Benji was meant to help him find his voice - little did they know, they got a louder one in AD.

I reckon AD might be the next to agitate for a release, the whole thing about $$$ for centre’s versus halves and his open desire to play 5/8.

I know who id be backing but god i hope we can snuff this out quickly.

After years of the Benji/Farah overcalls and who is dominant don't want to end up in the same situation.

Best game by Brooks in 2 years i reckon!

I also must congratulate Brooks on a "real"Luke Brooks performance, thats the guy we have been expecting to see for ages...
I also wonder and some of the critics will hammer me on this, but what if Benji wasnt beside Luke the last couple of years and Mbye was,Moses apparently was great last night and is a proven halves player, maybe now some can see why Ivan bought him here and how Benjis iconic stature has impacted both these players..

And why he wasnt offered a contract for this year and let go....Madge isnt as stupid as some make out....

I thought something had to of been said about the game plan. We were shifting it to the edges early off kicks, offloading in our 20. A lot of things that typically isn’t associated with Madges game plan and usually only comes out when the game is lost and we’re chasing points.

Brooks is the only player that can play 2 or 3 decent games in a season and people come out of the woodwork saying "I told you so".

As a team we played better against a pretty poor opponent. There was nothing in Brooks' game which suggested anything different, though I must admit his kicking game was quite good. Still no control of the match, still no creativity or identification of overlaps and good attacking opportunities. He didn't make any poor plays though. But if not making poor plays is the standard we set for our highest paid player and halfback, then we deserve to be in the bottom 4.

No I told you so from me, I’ve been maintaining that last night wasn’t really any different to how he’s played this year give or take a couple early games...

As a Brooks supporter this is the frustrating thing His best game which is what we saw last is of a high NRL standard...the problem lies is we don’t see it consistently enough..this is the point I totally understand by those who are critical of him...

The other thing is he didn’t play a lot differently to how he had been playing the kicks were still there keeping the Knights in a corner ...

The whole team played better Luke played better..let’s see it continue every week... who knows we may even salvage a season and everyone will be happy

I watched on fox, so I couldn’t make a judgement call on who was leading the team around? The commentary team seemed in agreement that it was Brooks. The backline appeared to have much better shape. I would be surprised if Doueihi gets the 6 back. His poor defence and inability to find a hole runner needs work. While Brooks otoh, has the better running, tackling and passing game in the team. I would love to see Doueihi 3, Brooks 6, Madden 7.

Doueihi is a weapon at centre. If the team is struggling for yardage in our own half, all the halves need to do is setup shape to give him space. He makes 20m every time he gets in space.

Right from the start of the game we had bodies in motion. Brooks had much better options and was able to execute.

Exactly, even still there were times where Brooks had to cut back in and die with the ball because a lack thereof. We need to keep having more bodies in motion.

Funny what happens when Luke runs the ball

Vs Dragons 19 runs
Vs Titans 17 runs
Vs Newcastle 12 runs

Like I said, no different ... except he actually had blokes pushing up in support.

Doueihi looked pretty happy scoring tries. I'm sure the club can and will match anything offered for a good junior. They let him slip one time but I'm confident we are a much improved retention and recruitment organisation.

I totally disagree on the control of the match, identity or creativity.

You are totally contradicting yourself. You say all that but then concede his kicking game was quite good? Guess what, a good kicking game is a huge part of controlling a match.

If you’re being neutral and setting all pre conceived perceptions and agendas aside and just giving credit where it’s due, last night he played like our highest paid player and a top of the line halfback.

He cops it brutally when he even has a half ordinary game, so it’s only fair he gets the opposite when he has a cracker.
