The club must've leaked the story to try and convince someone, anyone, that there's interest in him.
A bit like when you're selling a used car and you tell people there's someone coming in the arvo to buy it.
I can't see any club in Australia paying more than 120k for him, which leaves us stuck with him.
Super League is the only hope.

Unless a player swap is involved that benefits us then we cover the difference. Issako for Mbye gives us a big win in a position we have a major shortage.

The Brooks hate is reaching insane proportions when you merely post a somewhat positive article about Brooks written by someone else that paints him in a good light and you get two downvotes!?!?!
I can just see the Brooks haters with their faces screwed up in rage bashing the thumbs down.
Crazy

Got a new Brooks poster for above your bed yet ....
There is more than one type of successful halfback.
If you only have 2 or 3 good attacking players on your team they are easily marked.
If your forwards don't win the ruck or make metres, your halves and backs will have no time or space.
There is a difference between defending someone against unreasonable attacks and thinking they are the best player in the game.
Foregoing your biggest strength was / is madness ....and I've said it for 2 years now
Amazing when Brooks ran early and used his near top speed and hit the middle 3rd what a difference it made .....
Running is great if you have support for a break or a half break, but Brooks is the only reliable support player we have. He is following a game plan, which looks to me like controlling the middle, calling the plays, getting the ball to Laurie or Mbye/Doueihi and supporting up the middle.
I think expecting to him to fill those roles and make the breaks is unrealistic and why we have other attacking players. He should still run, but maybe 5-10% of the time.
Also Doueihi is a running 5/8 so Brooks would run less when paired with him and more when paired with a ball playing 5/8 like Mbye.
Mbye a ball player ....are you kidding ...lol ....Mbye is a running half as well
Jack whiten and Doueihi are big guys that can smash through the line.
Yeah but you said Mbye is a ball player ..he isn't ..don't change the subject
He is, that is what he was doing engaging the line and putting players into holes.
It can be hard to tell on the internet when someone genuinely does not understand something and when someone is pretending not to understand just to frustrate others into name calling so they get banned.

I have been fully on board with this season being the real learning curve and final platform for a great 2022..
On luke,I have many times critiqued him as well as stuck up for him, thats my overwhelming support and love for the club coming out in me..
I have realised that its not easy to do your job if people around you dont do theirs or fully know their job...Luke has been shuffled through a heap of coaches trying to get him to do what they want instead of capatilising on Lukes natural game.Madge has stuck by him through the bagging and calls to drop him..Madge made some selections that made many of our forum members call for his head, but in the end Madges coaching skills and selections got us a win and saw some true skills come out in players changing positions,,AD was outstanding at centre,Luke showed his true playing ability with an experienced play maker in Mbye beside him..
If we remain on this path for the weeks ahead and dont get any injuries the team selected as last week will get better each week, and if Madge does bring up some younger players that will be a bonus to see how they go...
The garbage and vitriol aimed at Luke,Madge AND Mbye should cease hopefully, because as much as people dislike each of them they still are part of our club and supporter family and we must stay positive for the remainder of the year....
I think you need to add suspensions to the injury list TT ..Saints get a couple more suspended this week and we will win by forfeit in Rd 12
Fair point Hap,just hope Madge has taught them how not to tackle this week with the new rules...

He is, that is what he was doing engaging the line and putting players into holes.
It can be hard to tell on the internet when someone genuinely does not understand something and when someone is pretending not to understand just to frustrate others into name calling so they get banned.
He is a runner 1st ....ball player 2nd ...does that dumb it down enough for you to comprehend ...same as Brooks
Maybe you should provide examples or evidence if you are trying to prove something.
The best example is IF he was so good as an organizing , ball playing half ....EXACTLY what we need ..why hasn't he been in the role since day dot when we signed him ..or even since Benji left ....you make this far too easy mate

Yeo. I'm for anything that gets him gone.
Did Mbye bag your sister? Ive never seen someone hate a player so bad.
