Went missing when the game was on the line. For a bloke who wants to be the main man and leader of the team he likes going into his shell in the big moments

Didn't find the grass once when we needed him to with his average kicking game. Our attack was completely unorganised and that's on him.

The bloke just isn't a leader, isn't a game manager and most important isn't a winner! Don't understand the clubs love for him. Solid player but he's not a dominant halfback regardless of who's around him. Good halfbacks take control of that game

Let him go next year, give Hastings a crack. He's vocal and has a good kicking game at least

put Brooks in the Melbourne or Roosters or souths team and they win comps
Brooks is not the problem

They'd never want him. Their halfbacks can ice games and execute things - the opposite of brooks. The bloke doesn't know how to win games and take control

MMMM, in Brooks hour of need where is the Luke Brooks Liberation Army? (LBLA thanks hobbo 1) Missing in action just like he was. Just like he always is. The LBLA should declare that they are either related to him or live in the same street. The only possible reason.

Best for both parties to part ways.

Agree .. needs to let go of the apron strings ..

Bog average but who else is out there?

Hopefully Hastings?
Can’t see him coming here to play 14 .
But the LBLA would disagree.

I think Hastings at 6 Brooks at 7 will be a good combo moving on, AD to centre

Nah I’d have brooks at 9 imo

Liddle’s service is horrendous.
How many times tonight did he get caught a dummy half with the ball ? 2-3 !

1 Laurie
6 Doueihi ( needs a heap of work)
7 Hasting ( prey he's the answer)
9 Brooks ( can defend and play 80)

not a bad idea Brooks at 9
Liddle is a good solid hooker nothing more, fast like cook buy will never be an 80 min player a very good bench hooker

As long as we put perimetres around Brooks so he doesnt have to think much and make stupid decisions

Put brooks on a team like the storm, roosters or even manly and the things he does for the tigers would pay off massively on them teams.
I’ve done a lot of work for NRL players from different teams, and have been told by them that they would not join the tigers solely because of Madge.
The rumors are true, Madges reputation of players not wanting to work with him is a real thing.

Why don't other team take Brooks off us if he so good then? haha Load of dog poo as is Brooks.

Who is to say they Havnt tried? I know for facts Bellamy wanted him at one stage.
And I’m not saying brooks is ‘So good’ I’m saying what he does would pay off more if he was on teams such as the ones I listed.
The club has been a mess for years.. blaming brooks is just silly.
We judge the team from what WE see, I can only imagine how bad things are behind the scenes.
As a half back, that would surely make your games more difficult.
The best half backs generally have players surrounding them that have an X factor, are strong under the ball, and that alone can make an average half back look better.

Poor Luke gets both MOses’es to work with. The tanker and the bludger , you have to feel for Luke looking for the promised land with the cheap knock off moses he’s had to work with . Poor guy!

1) short kick off with 24 min to go leading to game losing try
2) runs 85m after knowingly knocking the ball on rather than taking a tackle 5 out from the warriors line so the knock on can’t be reviewed (after living through the same mistake earlier in the year against south’s)
3) woeful 2pt field goal attempt

3 clutch moments where brooks chokes

I can see your dislike for Mbye....but I have to correct you on Brooks playing with Mbye, his game went up another level when Mbye partnered him in the halves, most on here said the same...but everybody wanted AD in the halves with Brooks...hows his game going since you wanted Mbye out of here and AD the saviour of our team...he has deficiencies like most of the team...
At least I can be honest when I have said I have been one of Lukes biggest critics over the years, but he has been good this year and was better when Mbye was his halves partner...

We have won 6 games. I dunno if anyone can say they've had a good year.

Brooks can he has been pretty good this year amongst a bad lot, positional changes has had him playing with different players and the younger ones not getting on the same page certainly makes his job tougher....he has had a good year for his level of play....some of his regular teamates have had a lot worse....its not all on him all the time....

I agree that it's not always on him. It's a team sport. However just because the others around you haven't been good, doesn't mean you're playing well. In a team with 6 wins I don't think anyone can say they've played well.

I’m not trying to defend Brooks but honestly there wasn’t a player out there tonight who got into good attacking positions for either of our halves to hit.

We are so disjointed in attack it’s not funny, AD didn’t look anymore dangerous than Brooks so I don’t think anyone can lay the blame at Brooks feet tonight.

It's Brooks job to organise the side. To be telling people where to be running. To be barking orders and getting the team organised.

Instead we've never looked more chaotic in attack. That's on Brooks, and Madge/assistant coaches. Whomever coaches the attack should be fired immediately. Whomever coaches the defence should be sacked immediately.

We can pick things up from there

Fair point and understand what you’re saying but I don’t think it’s just Brooks fault, as a team we didn’t have anything going for us in attack.

Short dropout late in half .. doesn't go 10
If you're going to do it at least go 10
Leads to a try and sums up the game
Just a dumb low-percentage brain-explosion decision
🤬

It did go 10. If it didn’t, it wouldn’t been a try.

The more he gets to play the more he thinks the coach
is ok with the CRAP he dishes out , week in week out.
BROOKS has to go.
Period.
His BRAIN-FARTS are fogging up his and the teams vision to move
forward.

Sad truth.
Loved watching the guy over the years... we invite these guys in our lives and get attached, in a way.

Brooks hasn't developed or improved how we all wished...

Cant remember who said it, maybe it was @GNR4LIFE

**Brooks should be Nathan Cleary like and Brian To'o is what Nofoaluma should've been...**

Not sure what's happened a long the way...
Or maybe I do?

- Coaching merry go round.
- Recruitment not team focused with a plan for success.
- Incompetent board.
- Friendship groups within the team ( Teddy x Moses x Brooks ) the Penrith model - not playing to their strengths and building around this to keep the boys together.
- Off field dramas.
This list goes on...

Imagine if we could've kept it all together

1 Teddy
2 Nofo
3 Suli
4 Douihei
5 Addo Carr
6 Brooks
7 Moses
8 Woods
9 Liddle
10 Stef
11 Luciano
12 Sironen
13 Nathan Brown

14 Twal
15 Tatola
16 Paseka
17 Ray Stone

Ahhhhh lament....

You're correct in saying that Brooks shouldve been the Nathan Cleary of the Wests Tigers and he was for a period there. But once his mates left he shouldve ,couldve but never did take the opportunity to take ownership as a dominating half and make himself a leader.
Alot of people say that he hasnt had players around him to play , he hasnt had the coach etc etc etc. But on the same token the club hasnt had other teams coaches knocking down the door at Wests Tigers asking for him to sign with them.

Ever since Maguire came in, Brooks has played probably his 3 worst seasons of his career. Lament Cleary all you want but he had Brooks firing in 2018 as he has done with his son the last 2 seasons. The Brooks/Maguire combination should finish up sooner rather than later
